Biography

Slot was formed in 2002 in Moscow, Russia. In 2003 they released their debut album "SLOT 1". The album was released on the label "Mistery Of Sound". Their debut video "Odni" was in rotation on MTV and other major video stations for over 6 months.

In Autumn 2005 the band was nominated for and won the RAMP Award for "Vocal Performance of the Year." SLOT performed with KORN in 2006 both at the St.Petersburg Ice Palace and at the M.S.A. in Moscow.

The band has been featured on numerous soundtracks for films such as "Day Watch", "Pirate", "Boomer" and also "Hunting for Piranha." They have also been featured on compilations such as Nashestvie, Scang Fest, and Rock Watch.

In the summer of 2006, SLOT opened their myspace page due to constant requests from fans worldwide. In the first month alone, the band received over 1000 visits and over 20,000 plays on their myspace player.

In Autumn 2006 the band released their second album "2 Wars," and its success was fueled by the nationwide hit single of the same name. The video for the song was aired on various national television stations (MTV Russia, Muz TV, A1, O2TV and Music BOX).

Due to the massive success of the "2 Wars" album and the single, the band was once again nominated for the prestigious RAMP Award in four categories. They were the only band with this number of nominations in 2006. They went on to win "Song of the Year."

In Fall 2007 they released their highly anticipated third album, "TRINITI." The video for the first single "Dead Stars" was released to internet and national video stations during the fourth quarter of 2007.

They have toured with Russian bands such as: Animal JazZ and The Dolphin. They have also toured extensively with internationally known bands such as KORN, Clawfinger, and SAMAEL. In 2007 they performed with ARIA at the RAMP Awards. In the Spring of 2007 the band embarked on a fifty-date tour of the Baltic region, where more than fifty thousand fans came out to support them.

In September of 2009, SLOT released its latest studio album, "4ever." With this release, the band garnered serious international attention.

In March of 2010, SLOT released their first ever English single, "Mirrors." With this release, and accompanying music video (both in Russian and in English) the band is finding an entire new layer of fans that previously had not heard of the band.

In April of 2010, the band will release its first ever English maxi-single entitled, "Mirrors." This single will include newly recorded and remastered editions of "Mirrors," "Dead Stars," and "My Angel."
