Biography

This Italian sextet plays a variety of styles that goes from furious and heavy post hardcore-metal, influenced by bands such as Misery
Signals, Converge and Knut to a more emotional/melodic sound that might also remind you of bands like Isis, Underoath, Cult of luna, Sigur
ros and Deftones.

Combining energized live performances, precise musicianship, heaviness and an inspired melodic voice, AVL are one of the best things
coming up from the European underground.

Only a few months after their first official show in autumn 2007, Amia Venera Landscape won first prize over 160 participants at a local
battle of the bands contest, winning a space at Venice's notorious Marcon festival, which also hosted in those days Meshuggah, Converge,
Bring me the horizon and other important acts.

In the same year the Band signed a deal with Hellfire Booking(one of Italy's most important booking agency), concerning national territory,
and other than just touring alone the band also played important events with International acts such as: Underoath, Poison the well, Misery
Signals, Agnostic Front, August Burns Red, Emmure, Gwen Stacy, A storm of light, These arms are snakes, Russian Circles, Knut, Monno,
The Secret, Slowmotion Apocalyps and others; this way quickly growing a reputation and gaining the attention of the national and european
alternative scene.

In Autumn 2008 AVL hit the road with a national tour throughout Italy's best rock clubs to promote their first recorded effort. The tour had a
great response and is still on.

Amoung many, the bands EP was reviewed also by Italy's most important music magazine, RockSound, in it's January issue, giving it an
8/10 Vote and writing:

"This is a very young band that makes the talent of its members their strong point. Truly admirable is the quality of the compositions that
are within this EP, varied and full of interesting ideas??a very clear and unique inspiration that helps better understand the universe of this
new band, that is able to enter autonomously in the alternative scene with the quality of the big bands of the U.S."

This Spring/Summer, along with the second part of their national tour AVL are attended to support other interntational acts such as:
Neurosis, Dillinger Escape Plan and All shall perish.

The band is already in contact with major European booking agencies and a month long European tour is being organized for October.

The band is also on the look out for a possible home for their first complete Album
