Biography

"Crisp, tight and intelligent", three words rarely used to describe a metal band in this day and age. Formed in January 2000, Beyond The Flesh set forth to create a brand of metal that was equally melodic as it was aggressive. Fusing all different styles of metal, drawing mainly from death and thrash, they have developed a familiar sound with their own twist, in turn appealing to multiple crowds.

In 2001 Beyond The Flesh set out to record their 1st demo, the result was "Spawned From Flesh and Bone". It immediately ignited a local buzz, which drew crowds to see what the live shows were all about. After securing a strong local following 'The Flesh' proceeded to play a string of out of state shows, always gaining the audiences acceptance, and landing opening slots for such bands as: Arch Enemy, Cannibal Corpse, Nile, Opeth, Shadows Fall, God Forbid, Beyond The Embrace, and many more. By 2002, "Spawned..." has sold impressively, and demand for new material was overwhelming. Entering the studio once again, they were driven to release an album that was even more eclectic than the first.

In the fall of 2002 Beyond The Flesh entered M-16 Studios to record their first official full-length album "What The Mind Perceives". The album was Self-Produced, Self-Funded and Self-Released by June 2003. The album was critically acclaimed and got rave reviews from all major metal publications and websites. Working hard to promote their album, Beyond The Flesh played a great number of shows, selling a surprising amount of CDs and continued to build their momentum as being one of the genres elite.

In late 2004, Beyond The Flesh signed a deal with Screaming Ferret Wreckords to release "What The Mind Perceives" worldwide.

2005 will prove to be a promising year for the band. Beyond The Flesh are ready and determined to dominate the metal scene.
