RoutaSielu was formed in 2010 by renowned multi-instrumentalist, Tuomas Saukkonen. The band released it's one and only album, entitled Pimeys, on February 16, 2011 via Spinefarm Records. They followed the release with a short nationwide tour across their home country of Finland.

Nothing was heard about the band again until Tuomas Saukkonen announced, in January 2013, that he had cancelled all of his bands/projects to focus on a completely new solo band called Wolfheart.
