Powermetal history can not be separated from the prestigious music festival held by Zhelebour. The festival which started in 1984 has managed to score some legendary Rock group and one of them is that the force powermetal Log Zhelebour Rock Festival 1989.
Powermetal first formed under the name Power Band with the early formation of M. Totty (vocals), Ipunk (guitar), Pras Hadi (bass), Raymond (keyboards), and Mugix (drums). However, the formation changed with the replacement position by Pungky Deaz vocals and bass by Hendix Sanada and besides the band name was changed to powermetal. Substitution members and the name into the beginning of gait powermetal in arena Rock Indonesia. Their names be lifted to the surface by the time they take 1st place at the Rock Festival 1989 Zhelebour Afterwards they toured 10 cities and released their first album, Power One.
Powermetal to date has undergone a long journey full of ups and downs but it proved to be faced with the tough. A lot of bitterness, barriers, and obstacles they experience throughout the course of its length, but the hardness of pursuing his journey powermetal never be separated from the love and support of loyal fans. Now powermetal back and always proved again come to carve a trail leg and continued on to coloring and pound the rock music world of Indonesia.
With its current formation (Arul-vocals, Ipunk-guitar, Luky-guitars, bass-Baba, Sastro-keyboard, Eco-drums) to accentuate the speed metal genre, album launch powermetal 9, Power IX (July, 2010). Still carrying power speed metal plus high vocal tone, presenting her trademark powermetal with more vivid through the double guitar heavy bands like the world-class power speed metal. With the launch of this album 9, powermetal re-carve tracks and echoing its name, the world kicked back Indonesian rock music.
