Earthship surge ahead like a nuclear-powered icebreaker through the Barents Sea, laden with mighty riffs, tons of groove, and home-brewed whiskey.
Earthship was launched by former The Ocean drummer Jan Oberg in 2010, who was joined by his colleagues Dennis Boettcher (drums) and Bastian Gutschke (bass) after a long drinking night in Berlin. The Ocean main-man Robin Staps joined the band as a secondary guitarist shortly afterwards. "I have not been involved in the songwriting at all though, it is entirely Jan's creative work", comments Staps.
The band played their first ever show supporting Torche in Berlin on December 2nd.
Exit Eden is the debut release by this new Berlin-based behemoth, recorded by captain Oberg himself at his own Hidden Planet Studios. Since then, Earthship have gone on to release Iron Chest in 2012, followed by an EP entitled As If She Were A Black Bird in 2013.
The band released their latest full-length album, Withered, on September 12, 2014.
