Named after the great pharaoh in Egypt who was believed to be the Sun God, now some believe him to be an alien hybrid, Akhenaten is the creation of Jerred and Wyatt Houseman.

Based out of Manitou Springs, Colorado in USA, Akhenaten's debut album Incantations Through The Gates Of Irkalla explores the concepts of ancient Mesopotamian mythology and the culture around their deities. Although Akhenaten is based out of the rocky mountains of Colorado, the sounds are focused on a heavy blend of blackened death metal with the many exotic instruments from the ancient middle east.
