Biography

Orange County's influential melodic-hardcore band Stick To Your Guns will release their long-awaited, fifth studio album, Disobedient, on February 10th via Sumerian Records.

Produced by John Feldmann (The Used, We Came As Romans, Black Veil Brides), Disobedient is the latest release from one of the hardcore scene's most vital and volatile bands around. The record follows the success of their critically heralded 2012 album Diamond, which debuted at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers Chart and blazed the way for the band's meteoric rise to popularity over the last few years.

Known for their aggressive musical style and positive lyrics, Stick To Your Guns won't disappoint with Disobedient. The hard-hitting record features the newly released track "Nobody," which is a song for the outsiders who lack the confidence to believe in themselves.

"For as long as I can remember I hated myself and everyone around me because I never fit in," says vocalist Jesse Barnett. "Everywhere I went and everything I did was wrong and uncool. I was truly a lost cause. I tried so hard to gain the attention of people who didn't deserve it and I lost a piece of myself every time I did. It wasn't until I embraced the fact that I was see through and the fact that no one wanted me and the fact everything I did was out of place, that I felt truly free. We live in an age where we do nothing but blame others for our insecurities and we loosely throw around the term "bully" because instead of realizing that there is something beautiful in the fact that you stand alone in a crowd, we have found a false comfort in playing the victim. Empower yourself. Know that it's the Nobodies that go the furthest, it's the Nobodies who have the biggest hearts and it's the Nobodies who will change the world."

After spending much of 2014 on the road, including the Vans Warped Tour in the U.S. and multiple European runs, Stick To Your Guns will make their return next year with their best record yet and one melodic-hardcore's most anticipated albums of the year.
