In the documentaire "We offer the Sun" on the bonus DVD of "The Great Mass" Seth stated that he doesn't see Septic Flesh as a black- or deathmetal band. He sees the band as one that plays "extreme" music.
The vocalist of the band, Spiros "Seth" Antoniou, is an acclaimed obscure cover artist. Apart from his works for various Greek underground bands, he's also worked for famous bands such as Moonspell, Paradise Lost, Exodus, Soilwork and many more.
The band's original name until its disbandment in 2003, was Septic Flesh. In 2007 the band reunited under Septicflesh, as a whole word.
