The band split up in 2007. On Myspace they posted a blog entry called "Farewell Asgaroth" saying:

"After 12 years of activity and having played with some of our most respected artists, there is almost no possible combination for this project to seem anything near that of a 4 member band. With an almost finished record underway, with close to impossible agendas and an ever present impression that fun is not in the horizon, I regret having to say: ADIOS"
