Slayer and Deicide versus Stryper? Interesting combination.
Alastor Scourge - 17.08.2006 at 09:32
It doesn't matter if Mexico City is the capital or not. (south is not better than north and the other side neathier... how i hate those localisms, that's the attitude why we are how we are...)
Guess what, ENTOMBED, DISMEMBER, GRAVE and THE ABSCENC are going to Tijuana in december (and of course i will not go)

Dude, Entombed, Dismember, Grave and The Absence are going to Mexicali, not Tijuana, check the link http://www.roadrunnerrecords.com/blabbermouth.net/news.aspx?mode=Article&newsitemID=56580 Oh Yeah! Mexicali Rules! We Just Had BEHEMOTH, BRUJERIA and DREAMS OF DAMNATION Yeah, we rule Just kidding, but in fact, we DO rule.
Alastor Scourge - 21.08.2006 at 03:52

Los Angeles thrashers Slayer have cancelled their previously announced appearance at the third edition of the Monterrey Metal Fest, previously set to take place Saturday, September 23, 2006 at the Coca Cola Auditorium in the city of Monterrey, Nuevo Leon, Mexico. Slayer, who were scheduled to headline the event, cited "personal reasons" as the cause of the cancellation.
As a reaction the festival was set back, most likely until November. A new headliner and the exact date will be announced soon.

The lineup looks a lot different than what it was supposed to be. Linak still misses Deicide though
Alastor Scourge - 07.10.2006 at 02:41
I like more this new lineup than the first one :p
nana.MD - 16.10.2006 at 07:37
...why in MTY!!!!!!
Promonex - 16.10.2006 at 09:47
Wouldn't it be stupid to have the Monterrey Metal Fest anywhere else but in Monterrey?
Lucas - 16.10.2006 at 11:55
Sounds like logical thinking.

Still, Sadus, Obituary, Blind Guardian, Cathedral.. lukcy bastards..
Blasfemo - 20.10.2006 at 23:06
the reason why this metal fest happens its because we 'regios' got tired of all of the good events in the past, took place in mexico DF or Guadalajara..

and the organizer of this event feeled this.. so he organized this event not just for we ppl from monterrey, as for all ppl in the north and center of mexico. like chihuahua, san luis p. or tamaulipas.

i remember that in the same date of the 1st monterrey metal fest event, in mexico city took place another event, called revolution metal fest.. or something like that. with very few audience and not real gr8 bands.. (only Stryper)

think about it south ppl, we arent localists, we just want to have good bands in our city without trying to travel a thousand milles
p.d. i'll not go to this show..
Alf~rad - 23.10.2006 at 23:12
is suport everything you say Ddying Lolo i know many people who travel to mexico city and sacrifaices a lot of things togo and see their bands and now they have the oportunity off seeing their fav. in their own cities.
happy for them .

keep it metal
