This festival seems to be making a bit of a name for itself it would seem.
Bloodstock Indoor stopped because of a lack of real interest.. I wonder how this does it. |
|

|
| The quality/quantity ratio of this festival has always been the best in Britain and they still are getting better. If I lived on your island, this would definitely be the festival where I'd spend my annual holidays. |

|
| Great line-up for a very very very nice price (damn only 40 euro). |
|

|
Indeed, a fantastic line-up this year - some clashes will be unfortunate, but we can't be sure on anything until we have the times of the shows.
But whatever, this seems like it is going to be one of the best events of the year! |

It sure is a nice line-up, especially when keeping in mind this could supposedly be the last Carcass live show ever, Onslaught will be recording a live album, and Sigh are putting together a special show for playing the UK for the very first time in 13 years, and now as a five-piece band.
A very strong bill indeed. |

Mmm, I already know for a fact that they will be playing on June 13th 2009 at Waldrock in The Netherlands, so it seems like they will be doing the summer festvials again next year. |

| I would kill to see this festival. kill hella people. |
|
|
|
| I paid that much just to see Carcass play in a club in Melbourne lol. |
|
|
|
| Carcass really? and i thought pitchshifter ended years ago. i remember a 'farewell tour'. |

The festival is official sold out!
Wanted to be there, but couldn’t get time off of work. |

Clashing is right. Cathedral and Napalm Death...then My Dying Bride and Carcass - talk about shifting gears. Though having variation in the line-up is nice, it makes for good discussions with new friends in the beer gardens, at least thats the way it usually goes in my experience. |

I guess my plan shall be (and so what you can expect in the review):
Onslaught, Sigh, end of Benediction, Napalm Death, Carcass
It's a real shame I won't get to see The Berzerker again - they are just insane live. I would have liked to see Cathedral again too, but you can't win at everything. |

Please not Napalm Death again... What about Cathedral? When are they playing?
And hopfully this time around Carcass will leave Angela Gossow at home. |

Ignore my times question, I just noticed the times
But why the hell three stages ALL simultaneously?
AT 013 in Tilburg they have three stages as well and not a single one has a full overlap. And at Roadburn not a single minute even overlapped. |

Hahaha, Napalm Death are great live.. and don't know anything about, or like My Dying Bride.. so I can't really watch them. It will be my forth time seeing Napalm Death in three years..
Cathedral unfortunately have the exact same time slot as Carcass..
Carcass really impressed me at Hellfest and Wacken this year, so I shall have a good time with them. Last time I saw Cathedral was in 2006 supporting Cradle Of Filth I think. I remember liking their set.. they seem to be one of the few doom bands I can listen to.. or that I have even tried anyway. Hahaha. |

|
Yeh, playing at the same time is a little annoying. This year the thing starts 16:30 which is much earlier than last year I think..
That seems to be one of the only bad things I can say about this festival so far though. |

Not knowing a band is actually the best reason to go and see them, they might surprise you. |

Well, you can still catch the first 15 minutes of The Berzerker. Should be enough to take some photos and cover them in your report |

Yeh, I thought about that - but I think I would rather sacrifice 15 minutes of Berzerker for a good place at the front for Sigh, where I will be able to get much better pictures than a few crappy ones of Berzerker and crappy ones far back for Sigh. |

Don't they have a photo pit? |
