I might come, but I don't really know these bands...
By the way, the name is utterly hilarious and infuriating. Why not 'In the glare of the burning synagogues' or 'mosques' for that matter? What's wrong? Are they scared of pissing people off? Pussies.

I actually find the name of the festival In The Glare Of Burning Churches hilarious considering it is the name of a Graveland demo which has also been released on cd a couple of times. And as you probably well know Graveland is of course a NSBM band with loads of NS references in their lyrics.

The bands are good (Becometh are personal friends of mine...)
as for the name, burning churches became one of the signs of BM, even though in israel I think there should be synagogue burnings in order to achieve the same perpose (attacking the main religion og the country)

Oh yeah. I knew I heard that title somewhere but couldn't put my finger on it.
@Berfones,
In a sense I think we are on the same page. My point is that anti-christian themes are often used by bands in a sort of 'omg, thats so black metal and rebellious imo tbh' when Islam and Judaism are the dominant forces of religion here. In our country, I see anti-christian themes as playing it safe or rather a mainstream motif.
I will check out Becometh though, thanks for the rec.
EDIT: This band is very good.

See their myspace page
and we are on the same page, and I too think black metal in israel, if it is anti-religious, should be mainly against judaism and islam, but as far as I know this bands are not much of an anti-religious BM bands...
