haha - that was my firtst thought as well!

I love Opeth (well, not the most recent album) and they do have some heavy/brutal songs/moments, but not enough to get top-billing at something called "Brutal Assault"
necrovamp - 31.05.2009 at 01:32
Day 3 on a 2 day festival?

so jelous, i want to go!
Promonex - 01.06.2009 at 23:29
2 day festival? No idea what you're talking about. 6th, 7th and 8th of August look like three days to me.

Btw, Mithras, Atrox and War From A Harlots Mouth have been added to the billing.
Baz Anderson - 02.06.2009 at 18:34
Yeh! Have fun watching Mithras, Jerry!!

Day2 looks really monstrous, I hope I'll be there.
Infurnace - 15.07.2009 at 22:38
Wow, this line-up is absolutely amazing. I should have gone to this festival in stead of Wacken.
AyΣm - 19.07.2009 at 13:46
Wacken isn't so great this year, I finally chosen this one for its amazing line-up as you say!
Crast - 24.07.2009 at 11:34
This lineup is quite simply amazing. With the recent addition of CYNIC and ULVER I was completely blown away. I can't wait! Only thing I am somewhat worried about is finding time to drink beer with so many good bands!
BloodTears - 26.07.2009 at 19:23
Great festival. I envy you lol
LYnX - 28.07.2009 at 00:12

Marcel Hubregtse - 10.08.2009 at 02:45
I heard from a band member who played there with two bands that the sound on stage for the bands was absolutely horrendous... how was the sound for the people watching?

From Choy or Wildoer? Didn't like both Darkane's and Atheist's sound in the beginning of their gigs and totally missed Hate Eternal's so much awaited "wall of sound". The others were from ok to perfect, ecpecially Suffo, Brujeria, Marduk and Cynic(!!!, Paul's vocals disappeared occasionally, but his clean voice, Sean's bass drum and Robin's bass were simply the phenomenon).

From Choy whom I spoke last Sunday at the Atheist Obscura Gnostic gig here in The Netherlands and I think Uterwijk also mentioned it.
