He will be probably guarded by 2 vicious beasts, one with long brown hair and a brown (but slightly red) beard (I guess that will be me), the other with blonde hair and beard (my cousin). Yea, share your opinions! I heard from my friends that it wasn't all that special, so I'm really interested if it's because they were drunk and missed all the show or was it really lame...
I heard CoF sucked ass!! hahaha why am I not surprised? And also Kreator.
How was Sepultura and Graveworm? |

Well, comparing with MC 06 was the only difference that it was 2 days longer. Bands were great, from ones I saw I was dissapointed only with CoF (Dani got drunk and the show ended 30 min earlier). I didn't saw Kreator, so I can't say anything.
Sepultura were great but for first two days everything was performed on the small stage. I actually don't know why, maybe it was planed from beggining. I have to confess that it was even better in that way, because the temperatures were high, sun, and the small stage is under the trees. Graveworm were ok, I didn't expect much from them. I got their trzlca (damn, I don't know how it's in english  ).

we missed again... i hope at least on metalcamp 2013 we will finally meet each other.
it was a fucking awesome festival, it couldn't be better. the only bad thing was that my money has been stolen.. i went to the police and i missed satyricon=(
kreator sucked, because last year was better. this year mosh pit had about 30 people.. remember last year's??? u couldn't saw the end of it!
and graveworm was also amaizing. only bad thing with them was that they have played only new songs.

It was fucking great! Immortal, Ensiferum, Satyricon, Graveworm, Eluveitie, Sodom, Blind Guardian I agree about Kreator being better last year...something was wrong with the sound this year IMO. The biggest letdown were Cradle of Filth (I don't like them but I went there out of curiosity)...Dani was drunk as hell and threw things off the stage...it's a good thing that the show ended early because it was getting dangerous. Otherwise it was the best MC so far (apart from the heat which was very tiring). I met some interesting people from all over the world (Australia, Greece, Austria, etc.) and even some security guys who kept me company in front of my tent lol.See you @ Metalcamp 2008 people!  |

"We found out from unofficial sources that Dani Filth, Cradle Of Filth's vocalist, in a state of advanced drunkenness, was arrested after the Metalcamp show in Slovenia. Dani allegedly strated to throw the scene ventilators into the security forces and the audience, making the public hooting him.
The setlist was four songs shorter for this reason and the band retired quietly from the stage. Dani was the only one left on stage, trying to break the floodlights, in order to throw them away. Let's hope Dani will be released until August 16, when the band is supposed to take part in Stufstock Festival."

| From what I've heard, everything Thryce wrote is true, except the imprisonment part. I've heard that he was only held there until he got sober, that's 12 hours I think. But maybe Thryce's source is right. |

Well...maybe I'm wrong but I believe this is bullshit. When I posted something about Dani on the official metalcamp forum, I got a different answer from the Rock the Nation dude. I wrote: "I've heard that mr. Filth was so drunk that he could barely stand. He kicked a few lights off the stage and threw a microphone down too. If my info is correct, the security guys decided to turn off all the lights so the band had to go off the stage. I'm not 100% sure that this is all true but a few people told me the same thing." And the answer from the RTN guy was: "unfortunately this is very close to what happened."
So I think the statement on blabbermouth isn't true. And also, people said they were drinking together with Dani before the performance. I don't know what to believe, and frankly, I don't really care about CoF. |
