I don't even need bands, it's a given that this fest is going to be killer, whatever the headliner would be(metallica or maiden)

I wouldn't mind some bands..

EDIT January 8th: wow, day by day this is getting less exciting and more annoying. what the hell are they doing? are they thinking they're actually rousing up the enthusiasm? they didn't find it too hard to announce most big bands at the Knebworth fest, how come announcing even one band for this is so difficult?

are they just overwhelmed with the sheer scale of the double 3-day Sonisphere in Bucharest and Istanbul? i don't like what's going on. it makes me loose my faith in this festival day by day.


hell yeah finally Slayer added to the line-up... took them long enough.

Line-up to be announced tomorrow. though i'm almost 100% sure it's gonna be like the Istanbul fest. it's more of a 'final official confirmation' that the festival WILL take place, unlike some other concerts and fests last year(RCOA, Biohazard&Meshuggah, Scorpions, Paul DiAnno etc)

edit: yay. according to a poster at the press conference the fest will take place at Romexpo(pretty much the only suitable concert location for big open air fests until the new stadium gets built) and here's the lineup, i'm glad to see Manowar has a headlining slot:

yeah, i'm in a bad financial situation too. though i do kinda realize that the fest won't be sold out(except maybe the second day) so i'll be able to get tickets even though right now i don't have the money.

Nah, I didn't mean about the money...I mean, they are a factor too, but the problem is I am out of the country, studying...supposedly...lol

lol you're going to ingest quite a big quantity of tuica this year. is it the kind you buy in stores or is it just homemade tuica? if it's the latter i wonder why you like it so much.

i can't stand the homemade stuff, at least the type my grandma or dad bring from my relatives in the countryside, the alcohol feel is just way too overpowering. sure it gets you shitfaced ( apparently Firefox recognizes "shitfaced" as a legitimate word ahahah) but it's like drinking the driest gin, straight.

ahh i wasn't aware of those. anyway, i guess that's nice, i like OL and as far as i know they're the only "arabic metal" band.

Okay so Accept were announced for Sonisphere Turkey, and a woman from D&D East Entertainment said that there are still a few bands to be announced for this fest, with a few nice surprises, so my supposition is that Accept is indeed going to be announced. whether or not they're going to play after or before Manowar remains to be seen.



edit: FUCK YEAH!! Accept and Paradise Lost announced!! i only hope that Accept headlines the first day instead of Manowar. either way it's gonna be fucking awesome.

How to get to Romexpo:

-from Gara de Nord: take metro yellow line one station to Victoriei and then change to the blue line to get to Aviatorilor, from there: 131/335/331/330 to Piata Presei Libere and then ask for Romexpo OR 282 to Manastirea Casin and then 41 tram to last station, ask for Romexpo(it's very near by). take all buses and trams in the direction away from the city center(north).

-from Gara Basarab: 282 to Maresal Averescu station and then 41 going towards Piata Presei OR metro (yellow line and then change to blue line at Victoriei) to Aviatorilor and repeat the steps above.

-from Baneasa Airport: 131/335/783/780 to Piata Presei Libere (going towards the center of Bucharest)

-from Henri Coanda Airport: 783/780 to Piata Presei Libere
