GER, Aschaffenburg - Primordial + While Heaven Wept + Alcest
After the release of their newest masterpiece Redemption At The Puritan's Hand, Ireland's extraordinary pagan/black/folk metal band Primordial will hit the road in May/June 2011 to bring their songs of grief and despair to the people. In addition to a handful of open air festivals they will also honour the halls of five European cities to enhance the live experience with a greater light show, a longer setlist and a more intimate atmosphere. And if you have ever witnessed frontman Alan Averill Nemtheanga literally reliving the woeful lyrics of his songs, you know that a Primordial live show is all about the atmosphere.
Support on this mini tour will come from two bands which are no less extraordinary in their respective fields. Before getting pulled into Primordial's maelstrom of anguish, France's Alcest will introduce you to their world of dreamy and uplifting soundscapes with their unique shoegaze/black metal hybrid, and Americans While Heaven Wept will subject the audience to some sugar-coated doom metal, a treat for fans of epic, heavy, power, doom and progressive metal alike. All in all a night for every aficionado of dark and atmospheric metal for sure.
One of the five club shows on this tour will take place in Aschaffenburg, Germany, 40 km southwest of Frankfurt, in the acclaimed venue Colos-Saal. Tickets sell for € 24.10 and can be bought in advance or reserved on the venue's website, or directly at the venue's office sans the booking fee.
