Yeah. I heard it was a pretty boring show.
I knew the setlist going in and was still brutally disappointed. They played so good, its just the concert was lacking the dynamic they have on all their CD's (minus damnation and heritage of course). Just when a song would start to get good it'd go back to the soft parts, which is great on the CD because you know it'll pick right back up...but the concert never did. |

| So, did they by any chance do a sort of mini Bloodbath setlist? I've just been hoping against all odds that since they have the entire band on tour(unless someone is missing? I think that's everyone in the current line-up) they'd come out and do a few Bloodbath songs at each show, especially with the light Opeth set. Man, I'd give anything for some live Bloodbath. Not the same since Swano left, but still, that would be unreal. |

Asking them to actually play Opeth songs or Katatonia songs with death vocals would have clearly been too much. Therefore a Bloodbath song would have been out of the question lol.
It was an entirely clean vocal set. Had it been in a bar where I could have sat down and enjoyed a beer, I may have different feelings towards it, but it was brutally boring to be standing through a 1.5hour set. |
