Next time play Savatage - When The Crowds Are Gone as last song. Always does the trick.

Decent playlist but ouch for playing anything by Hanzel Und Gretyl. What an atrocious band that is. Saw them live last year and had to run away, that's how bad they were. I'd rather sit through three hours straight of happy power metal than two songs of Hanzel Und Gretyl/

Actually Böhse Onkelz always does the trick. Even though they aren't really metal they are the band which gets the most requests. Their cult following is particularly strong here in Frankfurt as that's where they're from, so the whole pub always sings along. And "Nichts ist für die Ewigkeit" ("Nothing lasts forever") is quite a nice title to let people know that the night is over.

And yeah, ouch for playing exactly that song by Hanzel und Gretyl. Should've picked any other one, but that song in particular ("Deutschland, Deutschland, Number 1") resulted in some confused and/or angered faces turning in my direction as most people aren't familiar with the band and their abstruse humour. Btw, I've also seen them live last year. And drove 200 km later that year to catch another gig of theirs. Awesome and fun band, if you understand their kind of humour.

Pretty nice playlist

I accidentally happen to see this conversation but I must agree, this is a nice playlist.
And there's nothing wrong with Hanzel Und Gretyl. I'm guessing that "Number 1 in Deutchland" is a better choice than "Kaizerreich" (although the latter is my absolute favourite).

Why wouldn't anyone request that? It is one of the best songs of one of Pantera's best albums.

One of their best albums, yes... but one of the best songs? what? I don't even consider it a song... it is just three minutes of complete waste...

Glad you all like it. I guess now you know where you definitely need to go whenever you're in Frankfurt

Well, if you don't know the band the phrase "Deutschland, Deutschland, Number 1" sounds like it talks about the superiority of Germany, an impression you should avoid at all costs when you are in Germany itself as people still have enourmous issues with those particular 12 years of Germany's history.
