As they gear up to release their new and 15th album, Suicide Society, Canadian thrashers Annihilator have now debuted the first video and song from the upcoming release. More specifically, they have shared the album's title track. As previously announced, Jeff Waters is also back commanding lead vocal duties as you can hear on this track. Enter Annihilator's "Suicide Society" below. Have fun!
Canadian thrash/heavy metal masters Annihilator recently confirmed that they will release their brand new (and 15th) studio album, Suicide Society, on September 18th, 2015 via UDR Music, worldwide. As usual, guitar wizard Jeff Waters handles all songwriting duties, plays all guitar and bass, engineers, produces, mixes and masters the album and Waters is also back commanding lead vocal duties, as he did on King Of The Kill (1994), Refresh The Demon (1996), Remains (1997) and other Annihilator albums over the years. Enjoy some samples from Suicide Society below.
Annihilator's mastermind Jeff Waters has invited the band's former vocalist, Coburn Pharr, to feature in their performances when the 70000 Tons Of Metal cruise sails to Jamaica in January 2015. Pharr was lead vocalist on their critically acclaimed and best-selling 1990 release Never, Neverland. If you are a fan of that album, this might be another reason to attend the cruise.
What's with all the band van/bus crashes lately? Annihilator also suffered from that as they had a rough time yesterday in Spain. The band was involved in a bus crash. It could've been very serious but in the end all the band members are okay. However, the band did have to cancel the show in Barcelona.
Canadian thrash metal veterans Annihilator released a new album this August by the name of Feast, already the 14th album of their career. Their new video for the song "No Way Out" has now also premiered online. You can enjoy guitarist Jeff Waters and company rocking it out right here.

Dave Machander, touring drummer for Annihilator on Refresh the Demon Europe tour 1996, has sadly lost his battle with cancer. Annihilator mainman Jeff Waters released the following statement:
"A few weeks ago (while I was touring in Europe), I got word that we lost a former member of Annihilator's touring lineup, Dave Machander. He passed away from cancer.
Dave was a super nice guy. I met him under stressful circumstances. In 1996, we did a record called Refresh The Demon. Randy Black was our drummer then and I had bought everyone's plane tickets for our upcoming Refresh the Demon EUROPE tour 1996.
12 days BEFORE the tour weas supposed to start, I get a call from Randy telling me that, if I did not pay him dounle+ the money I was to pay him for the tour, that he would not come along and would join another Vancouver artist "Bif Naked" instead (as she apparently was offering more money). I told him that we could not afford this and that it is very, very wrong to hold us "hostage" like this. He ended up leaving for Bif Naked (which ended up lasting one tour and he was out anyway!) but, more importantly, Randy Black left us with NO DRUMMER, a cancelled flight that I did not get my money back for and a tour in 12 days!!!

Just before the weekend, Annihilator announced a much-anticipated headline tour in Europe this autumn.
The band just returned from a hugely successful European summer festival trip, playing to hundreds of thousands of real metal fans at festivals like Sonisphere, Masters Of Rock, Hellfest, Kavarna Rock and others. In related news, Annihilator signed up with Steve Strange at XRAY Touring (www.xraytouring.com).
Frontman Jeff Waters comments on all this: "First off, it was an honor to play for so many incredible metal fans this summer. Seeing our good friends in bands and crews from around the world was a bonus. Secondly, I need to thank Steve at XRAY Touring for taking Annihilator on. His support is giving us opportunities we've not seen before. Lastly, for all you Euro-metal fans, get ready! We are going to give 110% for you, as you are the reason that Annihilator is still going strong and even stronger than ever: Thanks to the fans!"
Annihilator has posted a new song online, called "Betrayed". You can check the track out on the band's official website. Another song, called "Coward", is still available for streaming at the Earache Records' MySpace page.

Canadian metallers Annihilator will release their new DVD, "Live At Masters Of Rock", on the following dates:
Germany, Austria, Switzerland: October 30
Europe, Australia: November 2
USA, Canada, Asia: TBA
The cover artwork comes from the band's set which was filmed and recorded on July 11, 2008 at the Masters Of Rock festival in Vizovice, Czech Republic.
A new press release reads as follows: "Prepare to experience Canada's Annihilator. Known as one of the premiere live metal acts for 3 decades now, Annihilator are captured live in the hot, Czech Republic summer of 2008. The band hits hard with mint, metal masterpieces, ranging from early metal classic records like "Alice In Hell", "Never", "Neverland" and "Set The World On Fire", to powerhouse records like "King Of The Kill", "Waking The Fury", "Carnival Diablos" and from 2007's acclaimed release "Metal". Performing live in front of 30,000 metalheads, this sold-out concert DVD is the purest example of why Annihilator are touted as one of the best metal bands of our time. Enjoy the metal."
"For many fans Annihilator was always the silent hero of thrash metal. They never got the same attention as Megadeth, Metallica or Slayer, but when musical critics predicted the end of thrash metal by the end of the 80's, they shut their mouths with one of the most intense thrash metal releases ever - "Alice In Hell". The album was a brilliant mixture of melody, power and aggression - everything a thrash metal band could ever wish for in their debut. Annihilator's next offering, "Never, Neverland", was proof that the debut was not made by accident - the album delivered the same amount of sheer thrash madness, backed by some extremely melodic riffs and solos. After these two releases the group continued their career with various line-up changes (eventually leaving guitarist Jeff Waters the only original member), but every album recorded after 1990 had a totally different vibe than the first two releases. Perhaps that was the reason why in 1996 Roadrunner Records decided to put out a live album covering the period from 1989 to 1990, by many fans considered Annihilator's strongest years. "In Command" brilliantly captures the band at the beginning of their musical voyage, when all that mattered was the joy of playing thrash metal and kicking some ass!
