Daughter Chaos - New Band Formed, Feat. Armageddon Members
Members of Swedish melodic death metal outfit Armageddon have launched a new band, Daughter Chaos. They have inked a record deal with Seeing Red Records and will release debut EP this spring/summer. Daughter Chaos also premiere a brand new single, "Intergalactic", which can be streamed below.

Armageddon - New Permanent Singer Announced
Antony Hämäläinen has accepted the position as full-time vocalist for Armageddon. The band led by former Arch Enemy guitarist Christopher Amott had recruited Hämäläinen for their U.S. tour and it seems he has passed the test. The melodeath band is looking forward to working with him as he brings great energy to the band, both on and off stage. They also promise that they will announce new tour dates soon.

As previously reported here, Armageddon and vocalist Matt Hallquist went their separate ways recently but the band has now recruited the vocalist Antony Hämäläinen (ex-Nightrage) which will be joining them on their US tour in February. The band will be touring to promote their new record Captivity & Devourment.

Armageddon - Vocalist Leaves, Seeking Replacement
Armageddon have some unfortunate news. Due to personal reasons, their singer Matt Hallquist has been forced to step down from the role as lead vocalist. The Swedish metallers thank Matt for his time and commitment to the band. This means they are once again searching for a singer. Armageddon are looking for a growler/screamer with great stage presence to tour with them starting next year.

Six Feet Under - East Coast Armageddon Tour Confirmed
Six Feet Under recently wrapped up the Hell In July Tour with Decrepit Birth, Cannabis Corpse, and Dealey Plaza. The band is wasting little time and will return to the road this coming November for the East Coast Armageddon Tour with Jungle Rot, Pyrexia, Malignancy, and Dark Sermon. Armageddon - Two Albums To Be Re-Released

Sweden's Armageddon are the melodic metal project of Arch Enemy guitarist Chris Amott and Embrace the Mystery & Three finally sees their second (Embrace the Mystery) and third (Three) albums getting a proper and domestic release outside of Japan, where they originally came out back in the years 2000 and 2002, respectively. Embrace the Mystery & Three will be released as 2CD set with upgraded artwork, several bonus tracks and liner notes on November 16th, 2009 in Europe and on January 26th in North America via Century Media Records.
Chris Amott comments the release as follows: "It is with great pleasure that I announce the first time ever release of these albums in Europe and the US! Any fan of melodic hard rock and shred guitar playing should check this out - Embrace the Mystery and Three feature many great instrumental performances and epic songs! These two albums were recorded in 2000 and 2002 and have until only been available in Japan. I put a lot of work into these recordings at the time, so I am glad to see them come out!"
Originally formed in Halmstad, Sweden in 1997, Armageddon was launched as a melodic death metal act with their debut album Crossing the Rubicon released via the now defunct W.A.R. Records label in Europe and Toy's Factory in Japan. Next to guitarist and mastermind Chris Amott, the album also featured drummer Peter Wildoer (Darkane, Majestic, now also in Pestilence) and bassist Martin Bengtsson, who both then moved on to join Arch Enemy, recording, releasing and touring Arch Enemy's 1998 Stigmata release. Chris revisited Armageddon with 2000's Embrace the Mystery album, once again released in Japan on Toy's Factory but never available internationally. This album presented a rather melodic and traditional metal approach and featured Last Tribe member Rickard Bengtsson on vocals, Dick Lövgren on bass (now member of Meshuggah but previously tour-bassist for bands like Eucharist, Arch Enemy or In Flames) as well as Arch Enemy drummer Daniel Erlandsson (also previously active with Eucharist and In Flames and with the re-united Carcass these days). Following the album's release Armageddon supported In Flames and The Haunted on a Japanese tour, which remain the only live-performances for the band until now. In 2002 Armageddon released their third and so far last album exclusively in Japan again. Simply entitled Three, it showcases Armageddon as a three-piece with Chris Amott handling all vocal duties next to playing guitar as well as Daniel Erlandsson on drums and new bassist Tobias Gustafsson (Eucharist).

Mayhem - South America Fucking Armageddon, Tour Guitarist Announced

Norwegian's blackest Mayhem have announced new South American tour dates in October.
Here are the dates for the South America Invasion:
Oct. 24 - Rio de Janeiro, Brazil - Bar de Tom
Oct. 25 - Sao Paulo, Brazil - Easy
Oct. 26 - Buenos Aires, Argentina - El Teatro
Oct. 29 - Santiago, Chile - Club Cadillac
Oct. 30 - Lima, Peru -
Oct. 31 - Quito, Ecuador -
Mayhem is planning an US tour in early 2009. The tour will reportedly consist of 21 shows and will kick off in the early spring. The exact cities and dates will be announced soon. Also the band promised an Australian tour is in the works.

Mayhem have joined forces with guitarist Morfeus (Ancient, Dimension F3H, Limbonic Art) for their upcoming South America Fucking Armageddon tour.
Morfeus states: "I'm very happy to head over to South America with Mayhem. Their music is awesome, and I'm looking forward to kick some ass. Expect a set heavy as fuck!"

At the end of the tour they will be going straight into rehearsals for the new album and then on the 01.10.2007 they will be going into the Stage One Studio where the album will be produced by Andy Classen. The new album from Mystic Circle will then be released in January through Armageddon Music."

Cruachan - Leaves Karmageddon Media
Keith Fay posted the following message explaining the label situation:
"As of today Cruachan have parted ways with Karmageddon Media. The split was amicable amongst us both and we have left on very good terms. As a parting act of good will we will do one last release with Karmageddon Media, a re-release of our 1994 "Celtica" demo including some un-released tracks including "Timmy" which we have played at quite a few Cruachan shows. We wish Karmageddon Media our best wishes for the future.

Axamenta - Signed By Karmageddon Media
Hereby we proudly announce the signing of AXAMENTA to the ranks of KARMAGEDDON MEDIA.
In a previous life Axamenta was known to play Doom-, Fantasy- and even Death Metal, but after a lot of line-up changes they once more decided to make a radical shift in their musical style and began experimenting with a more technical and progressive approach. Their love for movie scores also made them replace the keyboards by orchestra samples, which gives them a unique sound in the Belgian metal scene.
In the month May Axamenta will enter the well known Hanssen Studio in Denmark for the recordings of their new album. The album will be recorded with Jacob Hanssen, known for his work with bands like Mercenary, Invocator & Aborted.
After the recordings in Denmark the band will head to Sweden for the final mix and mastering at the world famous Fredman Studio, all under supervision of producer Fredrik Nördstrom, known for his work with bands like Soilwork, In Flames & Dimmu Borgir.
A release is to be expected in the second half of 2005 !

"We are glad to have finally found a musical homebase ! Moreover, we're very exited about Karmageddon Media, giving us the opportunity to spread our mental illness throughout the public. Expect the result of this deranged coalition in the second half of 2005 !"
