"Dancer And The Moon", the new official music video from US folk rock band Blackmore's Night, is now exclusively available for viewing below. The song is taken from the group's latest same titled album, which was released on June 14th in Europe and June 11th 2013 in North America through Frontiers Records.
Last month, Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night Blackmore's Night announced the details of their upcoming new album Dancer And The Moon and now the band has premiered its first single "The Moon Is Shining (Somewhere Over The Sea)" as a foretaste of the opus which comes out in June. Blackmore's Night have announced that they will be releasing their brand new album Dancer And The Moon, on June 11th in North America and June 14th in Europe via Frontiers Records, the band's 8th original studio album. Dancer And The Moon will be released in two editions, as a CD and a digipak deluxe edition with a bonus DVD that includes music videos of "Dancer And The Moon" and of "The Moon Is Shining (Somewhere Over The Sea)", plus an extensive interview with Ritchie Blackmore and Candice Night.
Blackmore's Night guitar legend Ritchie Blackmore (ex-Deep Purple, ex-Rainbow) has issued the following short update:
"April 2010 finds us diligently working in the studio and going into final mix stage on the new Blackmore's Night CD. Candice Night and I and our minstrel band are looking forward to performing some of our new songs and your favorites from past albums in September."
Blackmore's Night will embark on the "Secret Voyage Autumn Nights 2009" US tour, set to take place in October/November.
The band adds: "To celebrate the fantasy of the Halloween season, and the Renaissance spirit of the music of Blackmore's Night - we welcome all fans to join the festivity of the concerts by wearing Garb, or any costume of the season. Blackmore's Night will release their new album, entitled "Secret Voyage", in Germany on June 27 (in Europe on June 30 and in the USA on July 15) via SPV.
According to a SPV press release: "Secret Voyage" is another kaleidoscopic musical journey through time and space, incorporating and rearranging traditional melodies from all over Europe, blending the "old" and contemporary. The brilliant guitar styling´s of Ritchie Blackmore, the enchanting vocals and lyrics of singer/songwriter Candice Night and the saturation of authentic Renaissance instruments woven throughout the melodies, create a unique style of music they call Renaissance/Folk/Rock. "Secret Voyage" consists of twelve new tracks, recorded by Candice Night, Ritchie Blackmore and their Band Of Minstrels. This musical journey is inspired by nature and incorporates acoustic and electric guitars, strings, renaissance instruments and Candice Night's ethereal voice and mystical lyrics."
As announced on the band's website, Blackmore's Night will release "Paris Moon", a long-form concert DVD/CD shot September 20, 2006 at Paris, France's famed Olympia, on November 2 in Germany, November 5 in the rest of Europe and November 6 in the USA.
