Church Of Misery - To Start Tracking New Material Next Month

6 years after the release of their latest long player And Then There Were None..., Japan's Church Of Misery now announce that they will begin with the recording process of the follow-up in August. Tatsu Mikami (bass) and Hiroyuki Takano (vocals) will do the recording with supporting musicians for this album. Toshiaki Umemura on drums (Sonic Flower) and on guitars, Japanese doom guru Yukito Okazaki (Eternal Elysium). The album will feature 7 songs, 6 original ones plus one cover song of a 70's heavy rock band.

Church Of Misery - North American Tour Dates Revealed

Japanese doom formation Church Of Misery will return to North American lands in February and March to embark on a special tour, celebrating the 25th anniversary of the band. Support on all dates will come from Black Wizard, while on select ones from Forming The Void, Truckfighters, Valley Of The Sun and Wizard Rifle.

Church Of Misery - Announce European Tour Dates

This coming October, Japanese stoner/doom 'killers' Church Of Misery will be heading out to Europe for a headlining trek. A little less than one month long tour will begin in Helskinki (Blowup Vol. 5 Festival warm-up show), making stop also at two well-known festivals - Up In Smoke Festival in Pratteln (Switzerland) and Desertfest in Antwerp (Belgium) - before ending in Moscow on October 29th. Church Of Misery - Stream New Song, New Album Details

The follow-up to Thy Kingdom Scum is coming. Japanese doomsters Church Of Misery just announced that they will release a new album titled And Then There Were None through Rise Above Records on March 4th. This new album marks Tatsu Mikami's first Church Of Misery endeavor with foreign musicians. But there is more good news. One of the brand new songs, "Confessions Of An Embittered Soul" is featured on the latest Decibel flexi and streaming now here.

Church Of Misery - Announces New Album

There seems to be no stopping Tatsu Mikami, founder and bassist of Japanese stoner doom outfit Church Of Misery. After the departure of bandmates Hideki Fukasawa, Junji "JJ" Narita and Ikuma Kawabe in late 2014, Mikami posted a message on the band's Facebook page in which he vowed to "never give up" on Church Of Misery. He's now made good on his word.

Church Of Misery - European Summer Tour Confirmed

It will be a busy summer for Japanase stoner doom metallers Church Of Misery, as they have recently confirmed a headlining European tour, scheduled for this July and August. Church Of Misery - New DVD In September

Japan's Church Of Misery will release a new DVD next month titled Terror In Tokyo, which sounds appropriate. Terror In Tokyo is Church Of Misery's third DVD and the first to ever be available outside of Europe or Japan and also the first since 2007's Live In Red, Eurotour 2005. Along with the main feature, there is some extra misery as the entire set from the 2012 Maryland Death Fest has been added as bonus material.

"Despair (At The Cemetery Gates)", a song from US doom metalles Church Of Misery's unreleased album Minstrel Of Mourning is now streaming online for the first time ever and you can listen to it below. The album was recorded in 1993 and will be released later this year through Razorback Recordings.
