Good news for DragonForce fans. The power metal band has just finished writing its second album with new vocalist Marc Hudson, and plan to enter the studio to start recording in May the successor to The Power Within. The band will work on Fascination Studios in Sweden with Jens Bogren and start laying down tracks.
ZP "Zippy" Theart, the vocalist of UK power metallers I Am I and also ex-vocalist of DragonForce, is set to hit the road as a guest vocalist with Tank this year. Tank's vocalist Doogie White is unable to tour with the band as he will be busy on the road with Michael Schenker Group.

British power metallers DragonForce have announced the South American leg of The Power Within World Tour, their most extensive tour of South America so far. The tour, as special guests of Trivium, will take them to Ecuador and Venezuela, virgin territories for the band, as well as Brazil, Argentina, Chile and Colombia in September.

Emily Alice Ovenden, frontwoman of British symphonic metallers Pythia, is set to make a guest appearance on DragonForce's upcoming album scheduled for release sometime in early 2012. Further details about the new album are yet unknown. Pythia though, gave the following update:
"Just a quick note to let you know that Emily is currently in the studio recording guest backing vocals for the new DragonForce album, due to be released in early 2012! She is delighted to be working with the DragonForce guys and reports back that the new material is sounding great!"
