The cover artwork for Reign Supreme, the brand-new upcoming album by US brutal tech-death metallers Dying Fetus and follow-up to 2009's Descend Into Depravity, have been revealed. Also a teaser for the album be streamed in the YouTube-video located below.
John Gallagher, guitarist and vocalist of Dying Fetus, has announced that the group has entered the studio to record a new full-length album. The band will once again be working with long-time producer Steve Wright (Slipknot, Misery Index) at Wrightway Studios in Baltimore, MD.
Set to be released in mid 2012 through Relapse Records, the album will feature nine tracks and is a "return to roots" with production focused slightly more on slam than in the band's last few works. Thematically, the album is set to be a good old-fashioned piece of social and political commentary in the style of Dying Fetus as we have come to know. An official release date and album title will be announced shortly.

Dying Fetus will release a limited-edition mini-LP this summer. Entitled History Repeats..., it marks the band's 20th anniversary and sees the group covering tracks from artists who have influenced them (Napalm Death, Bolt Thrower, Cannibal Corpse, Pestilence). History Repeats... also includes a brand new Dying Fetus track exclusive to this release. The mini-LP is limited to 5,000 copies worldwide and set for a July 19 North American release through FYE stores and Relapse mailorder exclusively. Dying Fetus are currently streaming the upcoming re-issues of their 1995 demo collection Infatuation With Malevolence and debut album Purification Through Violence in their entirety at this location (player at the upper right).
Both Infatuation With Malevolence and Purification Through Violence will be released next Tuesday, January 18th through Relapse Records. The re-issues have been re-mastered and re-packaged now including new liner notes and never-before-seen photography, and bonus tracks. Re-issues of Dying Fetus' Killing On Adrenaline album and Grotesque Impalement EP will follow in early March. Killing On Adrenaline will include two bonus tracks while Grotesque Impalement will feature three previously unreleased tracks.
