Swedish metallers Entombed will release their new album, "Serpent Saints - The Ten Amendments", later in the year through Threeman Recordings via a special arrangement with Candlelight Records. The 10-song effort will mark the group's first release with drummer Olle Dahlstedt (Alpha Safari, ex-Misery Loves Co.), who replaced Peter Stjärnvind in 2006.
Commented the band: "We're mixing right now and the devil is smiling. Yesterday we got final mixes on the songs 'In The Blood' and 'The Dead, The Dying And The Dying To Be Dead' with top man Soren Elofsson at the console. He's helping us tweak the mix and will most likely master the beast at Cosmos Mastering, Stockholm, Sweden, later this month.
The previously announced Entombed/Dismember/Grave "The Absence North American" tour, which was scheduled to take place December 1-16, is now officially cancelled.
Entombed posted the following on the bands official myspace page:
'Due to circumstances beyond our control Entombed sadly has had to postpone their upcoming USA West Coast trek.
We were very much looking forward to this tour, but conflicts with the promotor, breach of trust and straight up lies have unfortunately forced us to cancel at the eleventh hour. Never in 15 years of touring the States has this happened, which really is saying something. We are appalled, and you should not be surprised if you see/hear more lies spread about how it is Entombed's fault that we could not do the tour because we changed our minds or some shit like that. Simply not true. We've never seen blame passed around like this ever before and deeply regret having lent our name to this madness.
Swedish metallers Entombed have issued the following update:
"The 'When In Sodom' EP was extremely well received, more than any other Entombed record, boosting both interest and sales in Europe, so we thank each and every one who got their hands on a copy.
"'When In Sodom' is yet to be released in Scandinavia,(September 18) and USA, (November 14) to coincide with the west coast dates with Grave and Dismember, 1-16 December. We need to get those extra kicks in to pave the way before we unleash the highly anticipated full length studio album — 'Serpent Saints'. In the meantime, Entombed will tour Scandinavia and USA on the EP; in November the mighty Masters Of Death tour will pulverize Europe, and then we will launch the masterpiece in February/March 2007. It will be worth the wait!"
Candlelight Records today has added 'Carnage' from Entombed's EP 'When In Sodom' set for US release November 14 to the label's official MySpace page. Bring your browser to Candlelight Records on MySpace for your first listen.

ENTOMBED guitarist Alex Hellid recently spoke to the U.K.'s Live 4 Metal webzine about the delayed U.S. release of the group's "Inferno" album and the band's Threeman Recordings label, among other topics. Several excerpts from the interview follow:
Live 4 Metal: For those unfamiliar the ENTOMBED label Threeman Recordings, here's your chance for a little promotion.
Alex Hellid: "We started Threeman Recordings in 1996 when we signed to Eastwest Records (for the shortest time) and have since licensed ENTOMBED under imprint. About two years ago we decided to make it more than a name and more into a real label. We want to get all the ENTOMBED releases and related projects under one roof instead of having everything spread out all over the place. But we also do a few 'outside' bands as well — THE MIGHTY NIMBUS (U.S.), GOD AMONG INSECTS (Sweden), VICIOUS ART (Sweden) all release debut albums on Threeman very soon. We will put out the new ENTOMBED album next year and people always ask us about the old NIHILIST demos and so that's on the way too. We have MURDER SQUAD (half ENTOMBED, half DISMEMBER with Chris Reifert), THE PROJECT HATE (Epic Metal), DAMNATION (Black Metal), ALPHA SAFARI (alternative/punk rock) and more ENTOMBED stuff coming…the list goes on…"
