After 15 years and four albums, Evile's guitarist Oliver Michael "Ol" Drake is leaving the thrash metal band. He explained that his departure is due to the fact that he has reached a point where the touring/band lifestyle isn't fulfilling anymore and he can't handle the financial uncertainty that it involves at this point in his life.

The 4-date mini tour is scheduled for the end of this September and will be performed in support of the group's new upcoming album Skull, which will be released on May 27th through Earache Records. The follow-up to 2011's Five Serpent's Teeth was once again recorded with producer Russ Russell (Napalm Death, Dimmu Borgir) at Parlour Studios in Kettering, England. The artwork for the album was painted by artist Eliran Kantor (Testament, Sodom, Hatebreed).

This time, it's Evile who are due to enter the studio this weekend to begin recording their as-yet untitled new album. It is fair to say that you can expect a new thrash metal offering from the band in the near future. The song was inspired by bassist Mike Alexander, who died in 2009 from a pulmonary embolism. The video was produced and directed by Sitcom Soldiers.
British thrashers Evile are due to headline a night of metal mayhem on February 11th, 2012, during HMV's third annual Next Big Thing festival. HMV's Next Big Thing celebrates the very best in new and emerging talent, drawn from all genres of music. Evile will be joined by Cerebral Bore, Savage Messiah and Woods Of Ypres. British thrashers Evile have confirmed an European headlining tour in support of their new album, Five Serpent's Teeth, which is due to kick off on January 10th in Prague, Czech Republic.
Presented by Rock Hard, the Five Serpent's European Tour 2012 will see Evile bringing their brand of hard and heavy thrash back to mainland Europe following a recent UK tour. The band will be tearing their way across ten countries with support from Portrait and Dr. Living Dead.
