Earlier this year, HammerFalljoined the Napalm Records family for their upcoming, 10th studio album. it's been almost 20 years since they recorded their debut, Glory To The Brave. Well, the good news is that the power metallers are currently in the studio forging new material. In fact, according to their latest studio update, they have been recording clean/acoustic guitars for the record to be released on November 4th, 2016.
Swedish power metal force HammerFall have announced a partnership with NHL hockey team Minnesota Wild. The players of the NHL team began the 2014-15 season extremely well with two shut-outs against the Colorado Avalanche, and they will get a special heavy metal HammerFall welcome at all the home games at the Xcel Energy Center in St. Paul, Minnesota. The team is using an instrumental version of the song "Fury Of The Wild" from the band as an intro.

At the request of many fans, the Swedes HammerFall replied with a statement, regarding the progress of their new upcoming release. The band will enter the studio next week on Monday, where they will begin with the new album recordings once again with producer Fredrik Nordström. As already stated in previous news, the album cover art will be done by Andreas Marschall. The yet-untitled album will see the light on August 29th, 2014.
In 2012, the mighty HammerFall announced they would be taking a break in 2013 to come back in full force in 2014. After releasing the live DVD Gates Of Dalhalla and being quiet for most of this year, there is a new sign of life. It has just been announced that the new and yet untitled studio album of HammerFall will be released in August 2014. There will also be a single, released on vinyl and digitally, upfront in June. They really plan ahead.

The band issued the following statement on their official website: "In the midst of celebrating their 15th anniversary of the album Glory To The Brave and the subsequent taking of the metal world by storm, the band has announced that they will take an extended break immediately following the festivals this summer."
After the cancellations of Opeth and Katatonia less than a month ago Turkey's Unirock Open Air Festival, set to take place on the coming weekend from 9th to 11th of September 2011 in Istanbul, has to suffer from two further high-profile cancellations. Sweden's power metal band Hammerfall and Swiss folk metallers Eluveitie both report communication and logistic problems with the festival organizer which force both bands to pull out of the billing.
