22:36 - Troy Killjoy I don't care about the objective side of voting. A 10 for me isn't "perfect", a 10 for me is a "favorite".
22:35 - Erik M. Well, I don't vote according to MS standards either since no album ever is perfect yet I handed out 24 10's. In my case that simply means those albums are at least worthy of a 9.5, as in masterpieces. A 10.0 score is impossible.
22:33 - Troy Killjoy My votes probably seem low because I don't really vote according to Metal Storm standards.
22:32 - Erik M. Your votes seem pretty extreme to me, which is still better than those people who only hand out 9's and 10's to everything they "like", of course. I also don't vote for things that I can't remember what they sound like.
22:28 - Zaphod Yea, I just avoid the whole thing all together.
22:27 - Troy Killjoy I find my scores get worse over time as well. Or I simply don't vote for things I've heard in the past because it's been so long since I've heard it I can't even remember what I thought of it.
22:25 - Erik M. Ah I see. Well, I re-visited my votes a couple of times as well but most of the time a downvote a lot of stuff then. I'll never delete my votes. Way too annoying to re-vote for everything. I'd just change the ones I already have.
Grab your leather jackets because a thrash metal triumvirate is ready to lay waste to a bunch of European clubs. Bay Area thrashers Heathen will be replacing Deströyer 666 on the upcoming North American Reckoning Tour headlined by German thrash metallers Destruction.

Bassist & vocalist Schmier comments on the new touring bill, which still includes Warbeast from Texas: "Destruction wishes Keith a safe and quick recovery! In the meantime, we are really happy to announce their old friends Heathen as a replacement for Deströyer 666! These Bay Area thrashers are one of my favorite thrash bands of all time and we will be sharing the European stages with them in some weeks on the Killfest Tour. It's fantastic to have an opportunity to tour with old friends on both sides of the globe! German & Bay Area Thrash together on tour - how much more kick-ass can it get?! I can't wait to hit the road again now, hope to see you all out there!"
Indian black metal has a new face in the form of Heathen Beast. The Mumbai-based three-piece are all set to release their debut EP, entitled Ayodhya Burns on the 26th of November 2010.
Unlike regular black metal bands who follow anti-Christian or satanic themes, Heathen Beast follows the path of atheism and subjects related to India and its culture. The EP is a tribute to all Indians who have lost their lives in the name of religion. The EP will be available for free download on the band's reverbnation page in short notice and will also be available on a limited edition CD (200 copies) version for any fans that would like to own a copy.
The band already has some pre-production samples available on the reverbnation page to give fans a taste of what to expect from the EP. The artwork has been co designed by vocalist/guitarist Carvaka and Rocklogy Designs based in Bangalore.

Heathen sects from across Europe will be converging on North America for the first annual Heathenfest tour! Switzerland's Eluveitie, the worlds heaviest Celtic tinged folk-metal band in existence, will be headlining the event with direct support coming from label mates Belphegor, Austria's most feared S&M loving blasphemers. Support will come from Scotland's own Pirate metal sensations Alestorm, Finland's female fronted folk-metal troupe Kivimetsän Druidi, and Norwegian black n' rollers Vreid.
Eluveitie mastermind Chrigel Glanzmann commented: "After our last planned US tour appearance was cancelled we were just as disappointed as our fans were. We promised to immediately start looking for a worthy replacement tour and so here it is! To us, it already seems far too long since we toured the US and Canada. We definitely haven't forgotten the warm welcome we received there! So we're more than happy and enthused to 'set sail' westwards once again!
