"Enlightenment Process", the new video from Impaled Nazarene can now be viewed below. The song comes off the band's upcoming new album, entitled Road To The Octagon. The video clip was shot by the crew at Filmokratik.
In conjunction with Osmose Productions, Road To The Octagon will see an official release on November 20th. Album artwork was done by Darkgrove Design.
Impaled Nazarene will also release a free download of the digital single Enlightenment Process on 19th of November. This single will contain the track "Enlightenment Process" and two extra songs namely "Ghettoblaster" and "Kali-Yaga". Both are recorded on the same session as the actual album was. They are re-recordings of our old songs taken from Suomi Finland Perkele and Ugra-Karma albums. Osmose Productions will release 7" vinyl version of those three songs limited to 1000 copies.
After their two year break, the guys of Impaled Nazarene have announced the details regarding a new upcoming album. The following message has been issued:
"We have finished all recordings of our 11th studio album Road To The Octagon. It took us precisely 6 days at Hellhole studio with our very own soundman Max "Miami/safari" Kostermaa.
Circa 33min!! No slow songs, no flirting with power/doom whatever. This is Impaled Nazarene at its most violent in years. And yes, lots of people have been calling for more punk and here it is delivered!! D-Beat yes! Guitar and bass (YES) solos!
Max starts mixing the album and the rest of us will take well deserved break. We will master the album with Mika Jussila at Finnvox studio on the 27th of August. Press/album photos have been already shot by Jarkko Viitasaari. We will do a video also, most probably from Enlightenment Process track. And we did record two extra tracks. This is tied to new album/20th anniversary thing, you guys will get something in October. More of that later!"
Finnish metallers Impaled Nazarene have issued the following update:
"After the successful spring/summer/fall gigs of 2008 around the world the band is now taking some time off from full activity. This simply means composing new material for the somewhere-in-future-to-be-released next album, taking care of other (earthly) businesses and charging of the "armageddon batteries" overall.
We've been planning to start the next album recordings around the spring/summertime of 2009, but we have also decided to not to be in anykind of hurry with that matter. It's a totally "when we feel like" situation at the moment. There might be some one-off gigs done here and there during the wintertime, but more of those later. . .

The following message was posted on Impaled Nazarene's official website:
"Greetings Suckers.
Tuomio has decided to step aside from Impaled Nazarene. His decision is personal and we thank him for everything he did with us the last four years and wish him the best of luck for his future adventures. Tomi UG Ullgren is our new lead guitarist, many of you have already witnessed him with us on stage as he has been a session member of this band since 2000, done various tours with us etc. This change will not affect any of our forth-coming shows.
We have now finished recording vocals of our new album Manifest. Sounds fucking killer. "Manifest" will be mixed at Sonic Pump studio by Tapio Pennanen at late July and mastered at Finnvox studio by Mika Jussila mid August. We also decided with Osmose that "Manifest" will be put out as double 10" vinyl instead of normal 12". We will now start working on cover and lay-out with our house artist Ritual".
The following message was posted on Impaled Nazarene's official website:
"Greetings weaklings,
We have finished recording all instruments for our 10th studio album "Manifest". We entered Sonic Pump studio with our producer/engineer Tapio Pennanen on May 10th. Recordings went fast and well, and happy to say we do not use triggers on this album. Much more warmer live sound on this one. We have a little break now and we will continue with vocals in June. Then we will have a longer break and "Manifest" will be mixed at Sonic Pump at the end of July. Here is the tracklisting (not in any order):
01. Intro: Greater Wrath
02. The Antichrist Files
03. Pandemia
04. Mushroom Truth
Impaled Nazarenee's album "Nihil" officially entered Germany´s Index list A on January 17, effectively implying that the band's album is officially banned in Germany. A note from the band is as follows:
"Looking back on 2006 and 2005, being unable to play concerts in Italy, Austria, France, Poland and Germany, one can only conclude that Freedom of speech and Freedom of religion, things that are supposed to be the foundation of the European Union, are not existing. Your lives are terrorized by deranged catholic sects and glue sniffing communists. Braindead imbeciles tell you what you should/what you cannot listen to, read or watch. Happy fucking middle ages part 666 and fuck off."
Impaled Nazarene has decided to name their 9th studio album PRO PATRIA FINLANDIA. The band will head for Sonic Pump studio with producer Tapio Pennanen in mid November.
Cancer, For Those Who Have Fallen, KUT, Contempt, Hate-Despise-Arrogance are among the cuts to be featured on the album. Osmose Productions has set street date for PRO PATRIA FINLANDIA 28th of March 2006.
Impaled Nazarene will head for Latin American tour in late January 2006.

Impaled Nazarene's Frontman Mika Luttinen has posted the following message on band's official website:
"Here is the update about our live album and let me tell you, somebody out there seem to be against this album a lot.
Original plan (as it was announced here earlier) was to record three shows in Italy. Things got, well, really fucked-up. Our first show was in Milan and we had flights via Paris with Alitalia. We arrive to Milan, our luggage does not. After spending (read fighting) hours there, we manage to get info that some of our luggage will arrive later that day. Well, we got some stuff but our guitars and bass remained in Paris.
We borrowed equipment from support band and did our best, the show itself was great, fantastic crowd. We did record it but something was wrong and we got only 8 drum tracks on tape, nothing else.
IMPALED NAZARENE and DARKWOODS MY BETROTHED have been confirmed for the next installment of the Tuska festival, which will take place July 16-18, 2004 in Helsinki, Finland. Also scheduled to appear at the festival are DARK TRANQUILLITY. More confirmations will be announced soon. Tuska 2003 took place July 11-13, 2003 in the Kaisaniemi park in the center of Helsinki and featured appearances by TYPE O NEGATIVE, THE HAUNTED, STRATOVARIUS, SENTENCED, AMORPHIS, ARCH ENEMY, CHILDREN OF BODOM, EDGUY, FINNTROLL, LULLACRY, MINISTRY, SENTENCED, and SOULFLY, among others.
IMPALED NAZARENE's previously announced European tour with THE LEGION has been cancelled. "The reason is that IMPALED NAZARENE are going on a European tour in May and the booking agency wanted to move the tour from February/March to a future date which wasn't possible for IMPALED NAZARENE," according to a post on THE LEGION's web site.
In other THE LEGION-related news, the group recently went into Art Decay studio to record two exclusive bonus tracks for the limited-edition gatefold-sleeve version of their debut album, "Unseen To Creation": a reworked version of an old original song plus a cover of TESTAMENT's "Curse Of The Legions Of Death". A late February 2004 release is expected.
