10:10 - Darth Satanious I am up for people covering songs and giving them a spin in style and sound BUT never fuck with the guitar solo. When a band changes the guitar solo that cover is ruined for me. Breaking the Law from Arch Enemy is an example.
08:27 - Darth Revan And the arch enemy song is a cover of breaking the law... If there's a song that should probably NOT be made heavier out there, it's breaking the law
08:07 - no one like the hypothermia Svarti Loghin split
07:50 - Darth Revan Huh, sounds cash grabby to me if that's the case
07:37 - Fearmeister Which is totally pointless, the two songs are on the japanese editions of their most recent albums. You can hear them right now.
07:32 - Darth Revan Speaking of, apparently there's a Kreator/Arch Enemy split coming up
07:24 - M C Vice I can't do splits. Can't even touch my toes.
Remember Lullacry? The Finnish band released their latest album Where Angels Fear in 2012 after a long hiatus and now announces that Spinefarm Records will release a farewell 2CD compilation called Legacy 1998-2014 on May 9th. It includes special stuff like previously unreleased tracks, live tracks and one brand new song - "Hell On High Heels", recorded at Astia studio on February 2014 with the original Be My God era line-up.
"Feel My Revenge", the brand new video from Finnish suomi metallers Lullacry has premiered and is now available for viewing below. The song is taken from Where Angels Fear, the band's latest opus released earlier this year and features Mikko Herranen (Misery Inc.). The video was once again directed by Jouko Kallio.
"Bad Blood", a brand new video from Finnish suomi metallers Lullacry has premiered at this location and is also available for viewing below. It was directed by Jouko Kallio. The song is the first single off the band's fifth release Where Angels Fear, which was produced by Mikko Herranen and mastered by Svante Forsbäck at Chartmakers in Helsinki.
Last Friday lead guitarist Sami Vauhkonen issued the following update on the whereabouts of Finnish metal band Lullacry:
"It's been a while since the last update from the Lullacry camp. After a hard and complicated fourth album we took some time off. In 2008 we were ready to record some new material, with a new interesting record deal with quite a big german label. Hiili Hiilesmaa (HIM, Moonspell, Apocalyptica etc.) was going to be the producer for that album.
But then suddenly just before the studio, without any warning we lost the connection to the label. After a couple of months I read from the newspapers that they went bankrupt. Fuck that.
Now when I look back, I can say that it was a blessing in disguise. Compared to the new songs, the older material was not as good. It wasn't the right time I guess...
The band will enter in the studio in May to finish their upcoming album, which should be out in early September. The single "Stranger In You" will be out in summer, including the KISS cover "I Stole Your Love".
We just came back from the Astia-studio! Unfortunately we didn´t manage to finish the recordings in time. We have still some guitars and vocals to do. And because we want to make the best fuckin´ album possible, we will continue in the beginning of the next year. At the moment there´s no studio time available, so we have to re-schedule rest of the shit, you know.. So, Good news is that the album definitely rocks like hell but we want to make it HOTTER THAN HELL!!! Bad news is that we are not able to release it in time. We WILL let you know about the new release dates as soon as it´s possible. THANX FOR PATIENCE GUYS AND GALS, I promise we won´t let you down!
Finland's Lullacry have finished recording their new single, "Stranger In You", at Finnvox studios in Helsinki. "The song is definitely the most '80s we've done to date," guitarist Sami Vauhkonen said in a posting on the band's web site. "Great catchy chorus and massive backing vocals in the vein of Bon Jovi, haha! We got some great help from Heikki of Twilightning."
The "Stranger In You" single will be out worldwide on March 9, 2005 and will also include a cover of Kiss' "I Stole Your Love".
Lullacry are currently recording the follow-up to 2003's "Crucify My Heart", tentatively due in early 2005 through Spinefarm Records in Finland and Century Media Records in other parts of the world. The group issued a five-song EP, "Fire Within", in August, featuring two new songs ("Fire Within" and "The #1 Rebel"), two remakes of classic Lullacry tracks, as well as a cover version of W.A.S.P.'s "L.O.V.E. Machine".
LULLACRY have posted the following recording update at their official website (www.lullacry.com):
"Lullacry has been busy this week! Some new material has been recorded at the Astia Studios, Lappeenranta, Finland with Mr. Anssi Kippo. You can definitely expect some kick ass rockin´ heavy metal to be released within this year as a single or EP. The Music is produced by A. Kippo and Sami Vauhkonen and will be mixed at the Finnvox Studios by Mikko Karmila. You can also expect to see some pictures from the recording sessions soon. ROK!!!"
As previously reported, Lullacry's upcoming studio album, Killer, will feature the following tracks: 'Zero', 'Fire Within', 'The Stranger In You', 'The No. 1 Rebel', 'Close Your Eyes', 'Killing Time', 'King Of Pain', 'Fate', 'You Are The One'. The album will hit stores in January 2005.
