Majesty vocalist Tarek "Metal Son" Maghary just released the following statement announcing the return of the band:
"With this statement I want to tell all fans, friends and partners that we decided that it is time for Majesty to officially come back to the glorious heavy metal world.
It might sound strange to some of you that after only three years when we said that the band is not existent anymore we return but I really want to try to explain to you all the thoughts, feelings and economic reasons which led to that decision.
I know that many of you were shocked when we put Majesty to sleep in 2008 and I can never properly explain you the exact reasons why we did that step and honestly, I don't even know them myself. The only thing I know is that it was a decision which hurt the feelings of many dedicated and loyal fans standing together with us side by side through the years.
Australian power metal act Black Majesty have posted some song samples coming from the new album, In Your Honour. The album's European release date is set for May 14th through Limb Music with other territories soon to follow. Swedish metallers Supreme Majesty have issued the following update on their MySpace blog:
"Finally the hunt for the right force behind the keyboard is over. The band would like to welcome Tommy Fälth (Isildurs Bane, Money Joe) to the tight nest, with his fresh and cool westcoast mind. Tommy has played together with artists like Janne Schaffer, Ebbot, Peter LeMarc, Johan Johansson, Stefan Sundström, Mr Soul, Lars Demian among others...
Immediate during the first rehearsal Supreme Majesty was stunned and impressed by his talent, that obviously is so god damn hard to find around this globe. His skills of perfomance, looking cool, writing songs, and being a good friend, make him one of us!
Black Majesty have set In Your Honour as the title of the forthcoming new album. Roland Grapow (Masterplan) will mix the new album at Grapow studios in Slovakia. New songs set to appear on the album include: "Far Beyond", "Millenium", "Further Than Insane", "End Of Time" and "Break These Chains".
In Your Honour is scheduled to be released in early 2010 through the band's German label, Limb Music.
Australian melodic power metal band Black Majesty have began work on their fourth cd with writing well under way. This will be Black Majesty's fourth release for their Limb Music Products label following up their most recent "Tomorrowland" release. In other news, Black Majesty will support Paul DiAnno of Iron Maiden fame on two of his forthcoming Australian tour shows:
Saturday 30th May 2009 - Hifi Bar & Ballroom, Melbourne,
Saturday 6th June, 2009 - Manning Bar, Sydney.
Here is an official statement from Tarek "MS" Maghary: "First of all I want to tell all fans, partners and friends, that Majesty no longer exists. There was no basis anymore for me and the previous nembers of Majesty to continue our creative work.
I had a feeling for quite a while now that the time has come to restart with a new band to point out that Heavy Metal can never be stopped and that a new force will bring the whole world that mighty message. In a dream I recently had, only one name for that power came to my mind: Metalforce
This new band will exactly do what also was the essence of Majesty, but even bigger and more powerful. The first gig on the MCF 08 already filled me up with pride as I looked into the eyes of tenthousands of fans who encouraged us in our decision.
