The Brutal Assault 2017 festival will be pretty special for fans of Czech black metallers Master's Hammer as the band will perform for the first time in 25 years! 25 years after their last show, the legendary band will do an exclusive summer festival show at Brutal Assault 2017 and will do a set based on the early 90's songs for the old fans and those who were not even born at the time.
Metallica's 1986 masterpiece Master Of Puppets has been preserved for posterity and is the first metal title to be given the honour of being added to the National Recording Registry of the Library of Congress. The record was selected as one of the 25 new sound recordings added to the registry of works that are "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant."
While they continue to work on a new album, Metallica have collaborated with an award winning author named Matt Taylor on a book about the making of the band's classic 1986 album Master Of Puppets and the subsequent tour that followed its release. Fans shared photos, videos and stories with the band so that all pieces fit together. The cover of Metallica: Back To The Front, which is due in the fall of 2016, can be seen below for now. The book will be released as part of the 30th anniversary celebration of Master Of Puppets.
Italian maetros Luca Turilli's Rhapsody are now confirmed to play at 2016's Masters Of Rock, which will be held in July 2016 in the city of Zlin, Czech Republic. The symphonic metallers are expected to play material from their latest 2015 album, Prometheus, Symphonia Ignis Divinus.
Cecilie Langlie, who is the singer of Norwegian doom metal band Skumring, has announced the remastered release of the band's only album, De Glemte Tider, which in English means "The Forgotten Times". The remastered release is coming out worldwide exactly tomorrow via Secret Quarters Records.

"INRI", the newly remastered song from Swiss extreme metal band Schammasch is now available for streaming below. Another song, "Black But Shining", is also streaming here. Both songs are taken from the band's debut album Sic Lvceat Lvx, which was originally released in 2010 and has now been remastered and to be released on May 18th via Prosthetic Records.
Extreme metallers Schammasch have good news for their fans. The band, which released the acclaimed Contradiction album in 2014 that eventually made it to Metal Storm Awards 2014, is now going to reissue a remastered version of their first opus Sic Luceat Lux. The remastering will be done by V. Santura (Dark Fortress, Triptykon) who also produced Contradiction. Everyone will know who did the artwork by the look of it and yes, it is Metastazis (who also did Contradiction's artwork). You can hear the remastered version of "Black But Shining" below now.
Van Halen will release what the band is calling its "definitive live album" on March 31st, the same date they're scheduled to begin a six-album remaster series with reissues of Van Halen and 1984. It's the first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Confirming days of rumors, sources at the Van Halen News Desk have shared the first official details of the live LP, titled Tokyo Dome Live in Concert, as well as information regarding the upcoming remasters.
Italian heavy metallers Mastercastle revealed details about their upcoming work entitled Enfer (De La Bibliotèque Nationale). The new album is set for an October 14th release via Scarlet Records. This is their fifth album, following the release of On Fire in 2013. To promote their upcoming album, the band released a music video for the track "Enfer" which can be viewed below. Enjoy!
US death metal pioneers Master are set to make their return to the United States next month for the 2014 North American Witchhunt Tour. Kicking off on April 17th in Philadelphia, Master will spend three weeks demolishing stages across the States in support of their latest release, The Witchhunt, out since September 2013. Legendary Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page has confirmed that the upcoming Led Zeppelin album remasters will be released next year and include previously unreleased material. Page attended the Classic Rock Awards to pick up the "Film Of The Year" award for Celebration Day and shared the news.
Yob have been relatively quiet since they released their last album Atma. Now they share something that isn't exactly new. Instead, the doom metal band is streaming a re-mastered track, "Aeons", taken from their forthcoming Catharsis re-issue.
