Children Of Bodom are releasing a new album soon, I Worship Chaos. So, naturally new tours are being booked to promote the record. Today, the Finnish metallers announced a string of dates for Europe. Children Of Bodom will join forces with groove metallers Lamb Of God, who will present their new record VII: Sturm Und Drang as well and tour Europe this fall. Opening support will come courtesy of British metallers Sylosis. For a few dates in the UK and Ireland, this touring package will team up with mighty Megadeth as well.
On the band's latest album Super Collider, we had fiddles, horns, cellos and bagpipes. And now on the new as yet to be named Megadeth album, we're going to have some country style steel guitar, courtesy of Grammy-winning country singer/guitarist Steve Wariner.
A few weeks ago, it was only a rumour but it is now official, Angra's guitarist Kiko Loureiro has joined Megadeth! Last week, the band announced that drummer Chris Adler would join the band in the studio for their new album, and now the first new member is introduced. In the last few weeks, rumors have been circulating around that Lamb Of God's Chris Adler is laying drums for the next Megadeth album. Chris Adler was photographed with Dave Mustaine eating tacos in Tennessee where the band is recording the new album. Megadeth have recently started dropping hints about the drummer and some fans have identified Chris Adler on the clips that you can see below. The band has now shared a picture of Chris Adler with a Megadeth t-shirt on their Facebook page. It's now official. Adler will be appearing as a guest on the album and contributing.
After leaving Megadeth, guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover announced that they had formed a new band together. This new band is now taking shape. The duo are now announcing their worldwide signing to Metal Blade Records for their new group Act Of Defiance, which is rounded out by Henry Derek (ex-Scar The Martyr) on vocals and Matt Bachand (Shadows Fall) on bass. They are currently recording their debut offering with renowned producer Zeuss (Rob Zombie, Hatebreed, Shadows Fall). Look for this album to be released sometime this summer. Reportedly, they have also recruited ex-Scar The Martyr singer Henry Derek Bonner for this group. However, that information is yet to be confirmed by the band. Recently, Megadeth lost two of its members, guitarist Chris Broderick and drummer Shawn Drover. As of yet, mastermind and frontman Dave Mustaine has yet to talk about this but bassist David Ellefson has addressed the issue in a recent interview with The Classic Metal Show. The bassist explained that they plan to stick to their album schedule but will be off the road for most of next year.
This was sudden. As they prepare to enter the studio in January, Megadeth lose two of its members. Long-time drummer Shawn Drover, who has been in the band for the last ten years, and guitarist Christopher "Chris" Broderick, in the band since 2008, have both announced their departures from the group today in quick succession. Broderick cited "artistic and musical differences" and Drover will be pursuing his own musical interests. It's just founding members Mustaine and Ellefson in the band now.
Megadeth's frontman Dave Mustaine has recently revealed that the band is gearing up to start recording the follow-up to 2013's Super Collider album. Speaking to the "Classic Rock Magazine Show", at Classic Rock Roll Of Honour event at the Avalon in Hollywood, California, Mustaine said: "We're commencing the writing process right now and we're going to start [recording] in January of next year. We'll be touring in August with a very huge English metal band in the States and South America, and we're hoping to get our record out sometime in the summer."

American metallers Megadeth were among the bands confirmed for Motörhead's first annual cruise MotörBoat. Unfortunately, due to Dave Mustaine's health issues, the band had to withdraw from the line-up. Heavy metal all-star band Metal Allegiance - including Megadeth's David Ellefson and Chris Broderick - has been added to the Motörboat music lineup.

Megadeth have canceled immediate tour plans as bassist David Ellefson and his family mourn the loss of his brother, who passed away on May 19th, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, after battling cancer. The band sends their deepest condolences and prayers to David during this time and ask that the fans please do the same. David Ellefson will take a break to spend time with his family.
Soundwave Touring have confirmed that at the request of Megadeth, Newsted will not be performing at the Melbourne and Sydney sidewaves. Every year, bands are recruited to tour throughout Australia for the Soundwave Festival. Many bands take the opportunity to play extra 'Sidewave' shows while they're traveling around the country, but Jason Newsted's solo band has been booted from two Megadeth side shows "at the request" of the band.
