It seems like guitarist/vocalist Dave Mustaine (MegaDave) loves the current lineup of Megadeth so much that he even contemplated re-recording the band's debut album, Killing Is My Business... And Business Is Good!, with the trio of musicians that surrounds him now for the album's 30th anniversary. The band is currently on tour in Russia, with more European dates still to come, where he revealed this.
After some line-up changes, Dave Mustaine's Megadeth is back with a new record. If you enjoyed the band's last album Super Collider, prepare for the new one which will be named Dystopia. It is coming out in January 22nd, 2016. As for the music, you won't even have to wait to listen to some of it. You can stream the new song "Fatal Illusion" right away.
Children Of Bodom are releasing a new album soon, I Worship Chaos. So, naturally new tours are being booked to promote the record. Today, the Finnish metallers announced a string of dates for Europe. Children Of Bodom will join forces with groove metallers Lamb Of God, who will present their new record VII: Sturm Und Drang as well and tour Europe this fall. Opening support will come courtesy of British metallers Sylosis. For a few dates in the UK and Ireland, this touring package will team up with mighty Megadeth as well.
On the band's latest album Super Collider, we had fiddles, horns, cellos and bagpipes. And now on the new as yet to be named Megadeth album, we're going to have some country style steel guitar, courtesy of Grammy-winning country singer/guitarist Steve Wariner.
A few weeks ago, it was only a rumour but it is now official, Angra's guitarist Kiko Loureiro has joined Megadeth! In the last few weeks, rumors have been circulating around that Lamb Of God's Chris Adler is laying drums for the next Megadeth album. The bassist explained that they plan to stick to their album schedule but will be off the road for most of next year.
This was sudden. As they prepare to enter the studio in January, Megadeth lose two of its members. Long-time drummer Shawn Drover, who has been in the band for the last ten years, and guitarist Christopher "Chris" Broderick, in the band since 2008, have both announced their departures from the group today in quick succession. Broderick cited "artistic and musical differences" and Drover will be pursuing his own musical interests. It's just founding members Mustaine and Ellefson in the band now.
