Meshuggah haven't said much about a new album until now. Koloss, their latest record, was released back in 2012. Since then, the band has released an EP and a DVD and also commemorated the 25th anniversary of the recording of their first EP. According to a recent interview of guitarist Mårten Hagström, the plan is to record the upcoming album next year. The band should focus exclusively on writing new material after August.

The Swedes Meshuggah have been quiet lately and are secretly preparing their celebrations for the 25 years since their first official release. Tomas Haake has updated today on what the band plans to do for their quarter of a century. The band will be doing a few select 25th anniversary festival dates and promises some official releases even though they are not disclosing what exactly those will be as of now. The follow-up to Koloss perhaps?
Australian metal fans now get their chance to celebrate the return of Lamb Of God because the band will be coming to Australia in September with Meshuggah along for the ride in support of their latest album Resolution. The tickets will be on sale on June 14th.
