As already known, Old Man Gloom are going to release a new album, titled Seminar VIII: Light Of Meaning on May 22 through Profound Lore Records. However, the group was planning to release another record at the same time, dubbed Seminar IX: Darkness Of Being, without any upfront announcements at all. Old Man Gloom just lost their bassist/vocalist Caleb Scofield. Notably, he was also the bassist in Cave In. Unfortunately, Caleb Scofield was in a severe truck crash on March 28th and passed away. R.I.P.

It seems like Old Man Gloom trolled us all. It turns out The Ape Of God is two different albums. Confused? The Ape Of God is actually two new albums with the same album title but each a different album with their own tracklist. They are to be treated as two separate albums. Both albums are their own entities. The confusing part is that they recorded a fake version of the album for the press. Well, that's commitment! If you have the promotional version, you might end up with three different albums in the end. This should bring some publicity to the record.
