During a concert in Santiago, Chile on April 16th, featuring legendary crust punk band Doom, the venue building collapsed. The building collapsed due to the capacity was exceeded by about 50 people. Three people, identified as Daniel Isaías Moraga, 24, Gastón Eduardo Angladetti, 25, and Fabián González, 22, lost their lives and twelve people, whereas seven of them are critically injured, was sent to hospital.

After the recordings began for Symphony X's next musical offering last year, the good news now is that the album is completed! Hopefully, soon we will be able to get our hands on the new progressive metal creation from the group now that the mixing and mastering are done. The process was handled by Jens Bogren, who worked with the band on their last two albums, Paradise Lost and Iconoclast.
The biggest surprise on Metal Storm Awards 2014, Babymetal, just inked a deal with RAL/Sony Music Entertainment for the U.S. release of their 2014 critically acclaimed self-titled debut album. The album's re-release in the U.S. will feature two bonus tracks and it will be available digitally on May 12th and physically on June 16th, followed by releases in Canada and Mexico as well. The Japan-based all-girl-fronted band will also release the album in Europe via earMUSIC.

Seven Witches is putting the finishing touches on the follow-up to 2013's Rebirth album, tentatively titled The Way Of The Wicked. The new record by the heavy metal band is being mixed by Joey Vera (Fates Warning, Armored Saint) and will be distributed by ILS/Caroline in the U.S. All you can do now is wait to hear the final product.
Swedish stoner doom formation Monolord generously unveils another track from their soon-to-be-released sophomore album, Vænir. The ten-minute-long piece titled "Died A Million Times" is the third song to be shared ahead of the album's release on April 28th via Riding Easy Records. Thomas Jäger, guitarist/vocalist, says that "this track's theme is a bit different from the others. It's about getting lost in your mind. A psychedelic mind-trip evoking the feeling that you're dying. Over and over again." If you are curious, listen to it here!
Iron Void recently announced that the band has completed the recording and mixing of Doomsday, their new album. They also thank Chris Fielding at Skyhammer Studio for a fantastic job recording, producing and mixing the album and to Jon Paul Davis for the accommodation and hospitality. The next stage is to master the album and complete the artwork. The West Yorkshire doom trio plans to have the album released on CD via Doomanoid Records by late summer 2015 at the latest.
Vattnet Viskar just announced their second album. Titled Settler, it it set to drop on June 16th (June 15th in Europe) via Century Media Records. The black metal band is confirmed for this year's Maryland Deathfest and will also be doing dates with California's Early Graves. Check out the dates below and start preparing for the new music.

Children Of Bodom have started recording their new album! Things are moving along for the follow-up to 2013's Halo Of Blood and drummer Jaska Raatikainen is hard at work tracking his parts. Back in December, the metallers started to compose and rehearse songs for the upcoming album. What will the Finns bring on their next album? We will have to wait and see.

Good news for Gazpacho fans. The Norwegian progressive rockers, who released the brilliant Demon album last year, have announced details of a series of shows in Europe in October. They will be supported by label mates Iamthemorning on these dates, which will be their first shows outside of Russia and London. The tour coincides with the release of Gazpacho's highly anticipated new studio album entitled Molok. Start getting excited!
