Well, someone just got lucky. In an ingenious effort to raise money for Slayer tickets by offering to sell his 1997 Ford Escort LX, a Los Angeles-based Slayer fan and his friends filmed a spoof of Lincoln's recent Matthew McConaughey commercial and released it on YouTube on Monday. Four days and over 100,000 views later, Slayer's Tom Araya took time off from his studio sessions to respond to Jake and the band just offered him two tickets for their show at The Forum in Los Angeles on November 14th.
Dutch death metallers Antropomorphia have recently released a new album entitled Rites Ov Perversion a month ago. In order to promote their newest record, they now revealed a new video for the track "Nekrovaginal Secretions". The video was directed by S. In February of 2015, in association with Zero Tolerance Magazine, Finnish melodic death metallers Omnium Gatherum will embark on the Beyond UK Tour, their second ever headlining tour in the UK. Joining them on the road will be UK progressive death metal titans De Profundis. You might of heard of the Icelandic film Metalhead (Málmhaus) before. This Ragnar Bragason-directed film, distributed by Cinelicious Pics, won't be released until early next year in the U.S., but a clip has been revealed today. The film is described as a "dark, intense drama of loss, faith, redemption, and heavy metal" and is also partly inspired by the church burnings in Norway in the 1990s.
Century Media Records is presenting a morbid triple threat of quintessential death metal with proper vinyl re-editions of Bloodbath's Breeding Death (2000), Resurrection Through Carnage (2002), both featuring Mikael Åkerfeldt (Opeth) on vocals, and Nightmares Made Flesh (2004), featuring Peter Tägtgren (Hypocrisy) on vocals, set for release on November 17th, 2014.

German Teutonic thrash metallers Sodom have announced the release of a brand new EP entitled Sacred Warpath. It contains 4 tracks, a brand new one and three live tracks. The new track which also gives the title to the EP was originally written for the release of a future new album but the band decided to release it separately as a teaser for what's to come.
