The French atmospheric doom metal band Ixion has announced that their upcoming album is ready for release. It has been mastered at Upload-studio, and the work on the artwork and pictures is also completed. The band is currently searching for a label to release it.

Finally and after too long of a quiet spell, the band decided that it was time for more music. They got together with a bunch of ideas, which they had recorded in demo form here and there, on tour, and in various rehearsal studios. The grinders recorded a new album during 2014, which sees the band continue in their trademark hardcore punk styles - with the added bonus of compositions by Lilker and Cooke.

This new album will follow Des Wahnsinns Fette Beute. Good news for the fans of the band. The album has been produced by Oomph! and co-produced by Subway To Sally drummer Simon Michael.
Soilwork have announced a line-up change. The melodic death metallers, who are about to release a new album called The Ride Majestic, have a new bassist. As of this new album cycle, the band is joined by new bassist Markus Wibom, formerly of Helsingborg hardcore group Hearts Alive. Wibom replaces longtime bassist Ola Flink, who has amicably left the group to focus on other endeavors.

Big news for Alestorm and Wisdom fans! Wisdom's guitarist Máté Bodor will take a break from his original band to support the British folk metal band Alestorm with their upcoming live concerts. The news come after Daniel "Dani" Evans, former guitarist of Alestorm, had left the band earlier this year.

The Death-adoring metal collective has shared a lyric video for their namesake track as well as a pulverizing cover of Death's "Land Of No Return" (from Scream Bloody Gore).
