Following the success of Hymns For The Broken (2014), the progressive metallers have been recording new material for their next record since March at Top Floor Studios. The mixing was handled by Jacob Hansen. This will be Evergrey's 10th record. Let's hope it will be a special one.

Wolves In The Throne Room have shared some good news! After a quiet few years, spent at home building out their studio and writing a new record, the band is now ready to return to the stage. They have announced a Fall 2016 Tour. For now, they are touring the Eastern U.S. and Canada, an area they haven't toured in 5 years. Moreover, this year the duo celebrates the 10-year anniversary of Diadem Of 12 Stars and will reissue the record. Out of print physically for many years, they remastered the audio with Jason Ward at Chicago Mastering Service and re-scanned all photography from original negatives.
After a successful debut album, called Children Of The Iron Age, U.S. atmospheric black metallers Wayfarer have new music to share with the world. They will release their second album, Old Souls, on June 17th through Prosthetic Records. Recorded at Flatline Audio with Shane Howard (Martriden, Khemmis) while being mixed and mastered by Dave Otero (Cattle Decapitation, Cobalt), the album features seven tracks clocking in at almost 50 minutes long. The album's cover artwork, which can be seen below, was created by Colorado artist and knifesmith Adam Gersh.

Blackened heavy metal band Faethom from Fort Lauderdale, FL released the cover artwork for their upcoming album Fury Of The Scorned Witch. This will be the band's 2nd full-length album and will feature 18 hellish tracks. This record will be a horror concept album about a fictional Bolivian mining town where the miners toil and suffer relentlessly under the watchful eye of "El Tio" (the demonic entity that guards the mines). With an infernal cast of characters - a scorned, vengeful cholita, a violent, murderous miner, a powerful, diabolical witch, a pious, holier-than-thou gossip, and a sinful, cowardly priest - the album promises to be a hellish metal tale of terror.
A new Virus song? It is here! The Norwegian experimental avantgardists have just debuted the first brand new track off of Memento Collider, their first new album in 5 years. Their fourth full-length drops on Karisma Records this 3rd of June and was recorded at the Amper Tone Studios in Oslo. American-Norwegian electronic hard rock/heavy metal group Combichrist returns with an eighth studio album, This is Where Death Begins, to be out in stores on June 3rd via Out Of Line Music. The new album was produced by Oumi Kapila (Filter) with Combichrist's vocalist Andy LaPlegua and mastered by Vlado Meller (Slipknot). The 15-track effort also features guest vocals from Chris Motionless (Motionless In White) and Ariel Levitan (MXMS). Other details, tracklist and cover artwork, are available down under.
Iceland's own Svartidauði have just released a 7" EP via Terratur Possessions. It is new but the songs in it aren't exactly recent. The black metallers recorded two songs back in 2010, which are now available in Hideous Silhouettes Of Lynched Gods. Enjoy the track "Deathtrip" below for a taste.

In This Moment have a new video out, for their track "The Fighter". The song appears on their latest album, Black Widow, released in 2014. The metallers have been touring non-stop to promote it and will continue to do so in Europe in May and later in North America. In 2014, Swedish funeral doomsters The Funeral Orchestra went on a hiatus. Now, they have updated on their future plans. While there are no plans to release material at the moment, they are considering making some live shows.
After their reunion in 2014, Despised Icon are now gearing up to release a new album, their first since 2009's Day Of Mourning. Nuclear Blast has announced the signing of the Montreal based deathcore pioneers and will unleash their upcoming album entitled Beast. The album is tentatively scheduled for a summer 2016 release.
