15:41 - Giza I don't know how to feel about this [link]
15:29 - The RedOctober Yeah but dude already half of the decade is over. We only have enslaved from 2010. Lets see :3
15:12 - Apothecary There are a good number of albums in there from the 2000s decade, so just wait, there could end up being some from the 2010s as well
15:11 - Apothecary Most likely that second one, although this decade isn't over yet though, so patience.... that could change
15:04 - The RedOctober Yes. I read a book by Dan Ariely which had a sort of explanation for this sort of behaviour apart from the good old. When we have a first experience of a particular event or thing we take it as an anchor and judge others wrt to it
15:00 - MHOE Definitely the latter. The 'good old' syndrome at its best.
14:58 - PocketMetal A huge part of my favorite records are from this decade, so...
One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have been very quiet in the last year. The Swedish death/thrash metallers just announced the end of the band after only four albums, The Dark Epic... being the last.
One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have uploaded three samples from their upcoming studio album, The Dark Epic. You can check out teaser clips for "Skeletons Of Rose Hall", "Inside The Head Of God" and "Stitch" at the band's MySpace.
The Dark Epic will be released in February. More album details were previously reported here.
Swedish metallers One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have revealed the cover artwork of their forthcoming album, entitled The Dark Epic. The cover artwork was created by Björn Goosses of Killustrations:
The Dark Epic is currently being recorded at Black Lounge studios Link] in Avesta, Sweden with producer Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry, Carnal Forge) for an early 2011 release via Nuclear Blast/Massacre. Songtitles set to appear on the CD include "Sandman Apocalypse", "Stitch", "The Pleasures Of Slavery", "How I Love To Kill You" and "The Zombie Syndrome (Of Acid And Man)".
Swedish metallers One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have issued the following update:
Marek here with an update from Black lounge / The abyss studio.
So the process have begun, we are recording a new album. The dark epic... And what a killer album it will be. I starded this morning off pretty early about 7 am. Changed all the heads and tuned and rigged my kit. Jonas showed up as planned about 9am and started putting micks on the drums and preparing all his stuff. By lunch the linecheck and basicsound was complete and we where ready to start tracking.
We grabbed a quick bite and then started.
First of was "The Dark Epic..." then "Devil's Harlot", followed by "Zombie Syndrome" and finishing up the day with "Inside The Head Of God". If felt really good to get such start from day one. I'm really happy with today, tired but happy.
Vocalist Johan Lindstrand of Swedish Death metallers One Man Army And The Undead Quartet has issued the folowing update:
"2010 will mark the beginning of a new era for us. With a brand new line up we will record a brand new album. The 3rd of January we kinda woke up after a couple of months of silence and rest. It has been great to just relax all this time and not thinking of anything else but to recharge the batteries. But at one point you need to get back on track.
We actually went to the rehearsal room and picked up 2 brand new songs written by guitarist Jonas Blom. They sound pretty different to what we have done before and they feel great. Time will tell how they will sound with vocals but I have a lot of cool stuff in mind. We already have like 3-4 songs to work with at the moment so we will definitely be ready to record in a couple of months. I hope you will join us on another ride."
Vocalist Johan Lindstrand of One Man Army And The Undead Quartet has issued the following update:
"On the first of April 2009 our longtime friend and bandmember Mikael Lagerblad decided to quit the band. His thoughts has been towards this decision for a while now even though we haven't seen it coming. But being in this band is of course all about free will. If you don't feel comfortable in being in a band that plays extreme music and loving every minute of it, then you shouldn't be in the band.
Mikael has written a lot of good songs for this band but one should know that his contribution only has covered around 35-40% of the total Army catalouge. That means that we without doubt will be able to continue writing new great Army stuff for the future, despite this setback. I mean, for example, 95% of the first album " 21st Century Killing Machine" was written without him so this situation isn't something new and scary that will bring us down. It's of course a sad thing but not the end of the world.
Swedish metallers One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have posted an audio sample of a new song, entitled "Cursed By The Knife", on their MySpace page.
The track comes off the band's third album, entitled "Grim Tales", which is scheduled for release in October/November via Nuclear Blast Records. The album was recorded at the Black Lounge Studios in Avesta, Sweden with producer Jonas Kjellgren (Scar Symmetry).
The band adds: "As you probably have noticed by now, the album is completely done. All that remains to do is all up to the company to complete, such as booklet, promotion and stuff like that. We are extremely happy with the result. Jonas has made our sound even heavier than before and our songwriting is also taken to the next level. It's brutal, melodic and a big fucking punch in your face. So for you guys that can't wait for the release we can now offer a small preview here on MySpace. It's for the song "Cursed By The Knife" which is part 3 in a trilogy. (No apparent motive, The supreme butcher). All other info will soon hit the web such as releasedates, editions and bonus features. So we really hope that you will dig this new album as much as we do and don't forget to come see us on the European Tour (with Unleashed, Krisiun and Commander) beginning on 14th of november. Cheers!"
Sweden's One Man Army And The Undead Quartet have posted the following update:
"We're entering the studio once again and as always we give you the chance to follow the progress very closely. This time the studio diary has moved to Revolution-Music.dk. Join us there and have some fun. The madness starts on Monday the 2nd of June."
One Man Army And The Undead Quartet's other upcoming album "Grim Tales" will be released somewhere in October/November 2008 via Nuclear Blast. The band is also supporting Unleashed and Krisiun on Unleashed's European Tour in November.
