Persuader have just released a brand new song off their new album The Fiction Maze. While it has already been released in Japan, it will only drop in Europe on January 17th and in North America on January 21st through Inner Wound Recordings. As of now, you can listen to the first song unveiled off The Fiction Maze. It is called "Son Of Sodom" and you can enjoy it in all its glory through the clip below. How is the band sounding after so many years? Is it what you expected?
Persuader fans have been waiting a long time for a new album since 2006's When Eden Burns but today the band has revealed more about their new release and that will hopefully ease some hearts. The fourth Persuader album The Fiction Maze will be released in Europe on January 17th and in North America on January 21st through Inner Wound Recordings. Avalon/Marquee will release the album in Japan on December 25th. The cover artwork and tracklist are also available now. Furthermore, you can listen to a preview of some new tunes as well.
Even though we haven't heard much from Persuader lately, they have been working on a new album and follow-up to 2006's When Eden Burns. According to a new update, the heavy metal band seems to be moving closer towards the finished product and confirmed that the album's mixing process will start in the coming weeks.
Persuader guitarist Emil Norberg has posted the following update on the band's website:
"I know I promised this a long time ago but now finally there is a clip with some excerpts from some of the songs from the new album. I know it´s been forever already, but we all hope this will satisfy you guys for a couple of more months. We´ve had a lot of stuff going on in our lives for a while but I think we are all now finally ready to finish up the work on the follow up to "When Eden Burns". As Axl Rose once said: All we need is just a little patience..."
The release date for upcoming Persuader album "When Eden Burns" is set for 15 May 2006. The tracklist is the following:

The band will be performing at Release Fest at Äpplet/Umeå with Reveria (Umeå) and Dreamland (Gothenburg).
PERSUADER's new label, Dockyard 1, is preparing to re-release the band's debut album from 2000, The Hunter. This new version will include several bonus tracks. It will be released on August 29th.
Songwriting for the band's next album is nearing completion. They are expected to enter the studio soon.
As previously reported, Persuader vocalist Jens Carlsson and guitarist Emil Norberg are also part of SAVAGE CIRCUS, the new band kicked off by former BLIND GUARDIAN drummer Thomen Stauch. The debut album, Dreamland Manor, will be released on August 29th through Dockyard 1.
