16:21 - Illog1cal Atheist have never been a Death metal band in my opinion, neither was Death after 'Human'.
15:11 - EMols86 It could be my inexperienced ears (when it comes to death metal), but Atheist - Piece Of Time sounds like way more like thrash metal than death metal to me.

The new Shakra release in upon us. The Swiss heavy metal outfit in conjunction with their record label AFM Records have revealed the first details of the new upcoming album. The new album entitled Powerplay, will see its release on January 11th 2013. Powerplay is the band's ninth album, fifth overall on AFM Records, and follow up to Back On Track released in 2011.
After the decision of vocalist Mark Fox to leave Shakra in autumn, the band is looking for a new vocalist.
The statement from the band reads as follows: "Quite recently, we were informed by Mark about his intention to leave the band by the end of October and we took note of it. Mark feels that some of the contractual agreements between the band and their business environment are too much to his disadvantage.
The remaining four band members however don't see themselves put in a disadvantage by their business partners. On the contrary, it is not least thanks to the management, booking-agency and record label's professional contribution that the success of Shakra was made possible.
Shakra have posted a brand new video, for the song "Ashes To Ashes" online. The song for this video comes from the band's latest released new album, "Everest". It was released on April 17 via AFM Records.
According to their record company AFM Records' official website:
"The guys from Shakra will enter the Swiss Powerride Studios in the beginning of September to start with the recordings of their new album. The working title of the new album will be "Everest". All bass tracks will be recorded by the new Shakra bass player Dominik Pfister".
Shakra are getting reading: one, two, three, attention!
In Switzerland time is passing by a bit slowlier than in rest Europe ?
Not at all ! Especially in these days the Swiss guys from Shakra are showing us professionally how to get everything to the point.
We are proud to announce that the dynamic hardrockers have found a new home with AFM Records. Some days ago Nils Wasko and Sandra Eichner (AFM, middle of picture) met the guys from Bern to sign the contract. The ink on the contract has just dried, as the band is already on the run again : as a first taste to give for the new album (being released on 3rd October) Shakra are playing this year's Sweden Rock Festivals as well as the Spirit Of Music Open Air in Uster/Switzerland (with Iron Maiden !).
