16:19 - !J.O.O.E.! Lots of what's called hardcore, and also metalcore, is probably better described as being metal. I think people hear certain kinds of vocals and call it hardcore. Plenty of hardcore is punk based though.

A new Theocracy album? It is finally happening! The successor of As The World Bleeds (2011) will be released next year through Ulterium Records and original drummer Shawn Benson recorded the drums on the prog/power metallers highly anticipated fourth album. Former drummer Patrick Nickell quit Theocracy last November. As a taste of what's to come, the American band has also recently shared previews of the new songs including demos from the upcoming album.
After splitting with the band's drummer earlier this year, Georgia-based melodic metal band Theocracy is excited to introduce the addition of drummer Patrick Nickell to the line-up. Patrick is originally from Nashville, TN, and brings 13 years of drumming experience to the band. Georgia-based prog power metal band Theocracy regrets to announce the departure of longtime drummer Shawn Benson, who will pursue other interests. Continued work conflicts and scheduling issues simply made it impossible to move forward, so both parties amicably agreed that it was time for a change to be made. There are no hard feelings on either side, and the band wishes Shawn nothing but the best in the future.
Something awesome is happening. In fact, vocalists Nils Rue from Pagan's Mind, Henrik Båth from Darkwater, Elin Redin from End Of September and Theocracy's Matt Smith have joined forces to sing in a track composed by Smith himself and enriched with the guitar solo of Darkwater and Harmony's Markus Sigfridsson. The cool fact is that 100% of the income of this track will be delivered to The Bridge Bunch, an organization dedicated to serving the homeless population of Nashville, Tennessee, in the United States. US progressive power metal band Theocracy has announced that they will release their new album As The World Bleeds on November 25th in Europe through Ulterium Records and on November 21st in North America through Nightmare Records. The album will also be released as a double gatefold vinyl edition, strictly limited to 500 copies worldwide.
Ulterium Records announced the release of a limited digibook edition of Theocracy's album Mirror Of Souls, as well as a 7" vinyl single of the band's classic bonus track "Wages Of Sin", all set to be released on October 7th.
