Van Halen - David Lee Roth Announces Retirement

Following the death of Eddie Van Halen almost exactly a year ago and the announcement that his namesake band Van Halen was finished, frontman David Lee Roth recently told the Las Vegas Review-Journal that he is planning to retire, saying that that his upcoming five shows at House of Blues at Mandalay Bay (on New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, January 5th, 7th and 8th, 2022) will be his last ever performances, but opted not give an explanation.

BPMD - Release Video For 'D.O.A.' In Memory Of Eddie Van Halen

BPMD have released a video for their cover version of Van Halen's "D.O.A." as a tribute to their late guitarist Eddie Van Halen. The song is taken from BPMD's debut album American Made, which came out last June. The album saw the band, who consist of Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth (Overkill), Phil Demmel (Vio-lence, ex-Machine Head), Mike Portnoy (The Winery Dogs, ex-Dream Theater, etc.) and Mark Menghi (Metal Allegiance), cover numerous American rock songs from the 1970s.

Van Halen - Eddie Van Halen Passed Away

At the age of 65, heavy metal/rock guitar icon Eddie Van Halen has died after a long battle with throat cancer. He passed away at St. John's hospital in Santa Monica, California. Eddie was one of the forming members of the legendary Van Halen back in 1972. Rest In Peace.

Original Van Halen bassist Mark Stone has passed away after a battle with cancer. Mark's death was confirmed by his brother, Brad Stone. Mark was part of Van Halen from 1972 to 1974.

Van Halen - Two Live Songs Available Online

Van Halen will release its first-ever live album to feature original singer David Lee Roth. Recorded on June 21st, 2013 at the famed Tokyo Dome in Tokyo, Japan, Tokyo Dome Live In Concert includes 23 songs, spanning all seven of the band's albums with Roth. It will be released as a double CD, four-LP set on 180-gram vinyl, and digitally beginning on March 31st, 2015. For now, you can listen to ''Panama'' and ''Runnin' With The Devil'' which have now been made available online.

Van Halen - Announce New Album And North American Tour

US hard-rock legends Van Halen have made the official tour 2012 announcement and revealed the February 7th release date for their new album entitled A Different Kind Of Truth during a performance at Café Wha? in New York on January 5th.
The new Van Halen tour with original singer David Lee Roth will kick off on February 18th at the KFC Yum! Center in Louisville, Kentucky. Kool & The Gang has also been announced as a special guest for select tour dates. Tickets for most shows through the end of March go on sale January 14th.
