At last, some new music from Powerwolf! The power metal band just released the first single off their upcoming album Blessed & Possessed and it is the first song you get to enjoy after their latest opus Preachers Of The Night. Wolfshead was founded in Oulu, Finland in October 2011 by bassist Vesa Karppinen (Fall Of The Idols), guitarist Ari Rajaniemi (Torture Pulse, Deliverance, Angry Machines) and drummer Jussi Risto (Angry Machines, Heads On Fire). Vocalist Tero Laine (Fore) joined the ranks a couple of months later. Now the heavy/doom metal band will release a new EP called Caput Lupinum on May 25th via GodEater Records. Germans Powerwolf are pleased to share details for their next full-length effort. The album will be entitled Blessed & Possessed and is scheduled for a July, 2015 release on Napalm Records. The band is currently laying final touches to the mix together with sound wizard Fredrik Nordström at Studio Fredman in Gothenburg, Sweden. Once again guitarist Matthew Greywolf was also responsible for the cover artwork, which can be seen below.
Finnish metallers Wolfheart have recently shared a new video for the track "The Hunt" from their debut album Winterborn. The album was recently reissued (with two bonus tracks) by their new label Spinefarm Records. Check out the clip directed by Valtteri Hirvonen below.
German power metallers Powerwolf have been holed up in the studio to record the upcoming 6th studio album, and follow up to 2013's Preachers Of The Night, expected to be released in the summer of 2015. More details will be known in the following weeks.

Powerwolf have shared some good news today. During the past six months, the power metal band has been secretly busy writing songs for the follow up album to Preachers Of The Night and the recording process will begin in January. You can look forward to their new opus next summer. Are you excited?
Good news for Wolfheart as the band just signed with Spinefarm Records. We already knew that Tuomas Saukkonen's new band was recording their next album. Now we know that the new opus, titled Shadow World, is due out in mid-2015 and Spinefarm Records will also re-release their 2013 debut, Winterborn, with two additional bonus tracks on February 3rd of next year.
If you enjoyed Wolfheart's debut album Winterborn last year, you will be pleased to know that the group's second album is in the works. In fact, mastermind Tuomas Saukkonen just released a video update where he discusses the festival season and confirms that they are in the studio recording their next album. The Finns Maveth are releasing a new split with Greek extreme metallers Embrace Of Thorns called A Plague Through The Heavens. The cover artwork has been revealed. Take a look at Daniel Desecrator's creation below. A Plague Through The Heavens will contain eight new tracks (four from each band) totaling over 37 minutes.
Sweden's pack of heavy metallers Wolf return with their seventh studio album entitled simply, Devil Seed. This time around, the group teamed up with Jens Bogren (Kreator, Paradise Lost, Opeth) over at Fascination Street Studios. The cover artwork is being created once again by legendary designer Thomas Holm (Mercyful Fate, King Diamond). Century Media Records will unleash Devil Seed on August 25th in Europe and September 2nd in North America. Then, a short time later, Wolf will take to the streets with a tour of the UK with further European dates to be announced soon.
This should be a treat for Powerwolf fans. Metal Blade Records has announced three Powerwolf releases for June 24th. First off, there will be The History Of Heresy, a massive box set containing two CDs, one DVD, a book and more. Additionally, and for the first time ever, Lupus Dei and Return In Bloodred will be released as Picture Discs on June 24th in an edition of 500 copies each.
The much awaited new Amon Amarth video for the track "Father Of The Wolf" has finally been unveiled. The Swedes promised that the "Father Of The Wolf" mini-movie/video world premiere live would happen at the Las Vegas House Of Blues yesterday and it did. Now the epic production video is also available on YouTube which means you can watch it now here. You might remember this song from Amon Amarth's latest musical offering Deceiver Of The Gods, released last year.
