The doom lord Eric Wagner and his band The Skull have completed work on its highly anticipated sophomore album. Titled The Endless Road Turns Dark, the LP was recorded in Chicago's Decade Music Studios with engineer Sanford Parker ( Yob, Tombs) and builds on the foundation laid by debut album, For Those Which Are Asleep. A fall release date is projected for the new album.

The vocalist went under the knife on Monday at the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF), after his brother-in-law Kevin Rivero served as a liver donor.
