Stratovarius - New Album Cover And Tracklist Unveiled

Finnish power metal heavyweights Stratovarius have set the release dates for their brand new studio album Eternal for September 11th, 2015 (Europe) and September 18th, 2015 (USA) on EarMUSIC (not August as previously announced by the band). The album will be released in 3 formats: standard CD jewelcase, limited deluxe edition (CD + DVD mediabook including live video tracks recorded at Loudpark Festival 2015 in Japan) and double vinyl gatefold. Mastodon - Guitarist Brent Hinds Says He Hates Metal

Mastodon guitarist Brent Hinds is the talk of the town at the moment. He was recently interviewed by Guitar Player and spoke his mind about the fact that he never really liked heavy metal and he also is tired of doing interviews. Maybe he was being cheeky, maybe he was being honest? He also said he has been trying to get Mastodon to not be such a heavy metal band.

Cathedral - Unveil Early Live Video, Reissuing First Demo

While doomsters Cathedral called it a day back in 2013, they are taking us back in time. A CD/DVD reissue of 1990 cassette demo In Memorium (now spelled In Memoriam) will come out on July 10th via frontman Lee Dorrian's own Rise Above Records. The package contains a rare Cathedral live performance in Groningen from 1991, and you can get a taste of it below by watching them perform the Pentagram cover "All Your Sins."

Motörhead - Announce North American Tour

Motörhead will embark on a North American tour this summer. These North American shows start in mid-August, with Saxon, Crobot and Anthrax as special guests on select dates, before ending with the Motörboat cruise between September 28th and October 2nd from Miami, Florida to Nassau, Bahamas. Motörhead is of course touring to present their forthcoming new record, Bad Magic.

Disturbed - Hiatus Is Over, New Song Online

Disturbed are back and their four-year hiatus is officially over. Last year, the band's frontman David Michael Draiman hinted that the band would make a comeback and after a series of teasers, it's now official: they are releasing a new album called Immortalized, which will be out on August 21st, and is available for pre-order today. But that's not all. They have also shared a new song called "The Vengeful One", available in the video below. Was it worth the wait?

Tool - Headlining Monster Mash Festival On Halloween

No, it's not an update on Tool's new album. Status on that: unknown. The band teased an announcement recently and now it's out there. The American metallers will be performing at the 2015 Monster Mash Festival at Tempe Beach Park in Tempe, Arizona on Halloween, October 31st. The line-up also boasts Primus and Coheed And Cambria, with more to be announced.
