Nightwish - Streaming New Album Opening Track

Nightwish are currently streaming their new song "Shudder Before The Beautiful", which is the opening song taken from their upcoming album Endless Forms Most Beautiful. So, you can finally listen to another new song from the album before it is released later this month on March 27th (Europe), March 30th (UK) and March 31st (North America) via Nuclear Blast. Wayne Static - Death Caused By Mix Of Prescription Drugs & Alcohol

At the end of last year, shocking news came that 48-year-old Static-X frontman Wayne Static had passed away and at the time not many details were revealed about his death. Now, a few months later, it has been confirmed by the official coroner's report that he died as a result of mixing Xanax and other prescription drugs with alcohol. The coroner's report lists the official cause of death as "mixed prescription drug (oxycodone, hydromorphone, alprazolam) with alcohol toxicity" and the "manner of death" is stated as "natural."

Öxxö Xööx - Releases New Track

While previously you had the chance of listening to a teaser, outsider French doomsters Öxxö Xööx have now released the seventh track, "Äbÿm", off of the band's upcoming sophomore album Nämïdäë, to be released in mid-2015 by Blood Music. Anvil - New Video Online

"Hope In Hell" is the new video from Canadian metal legends Anvil, and can now be seen below. The clip was again created by Swedish director Rene U Valdes of Greenworks Productions. The song is of course taken from the album of the same name, the latest record released by Anvil in 2013. The heavy metal unit will embark on another European festival tour this summer with more dates to be added soon.

Hooded Menace - To Hit The Studio

Finnish death/doom horde Hooded Menace have good news! They are preparing to enter the studio to record their fourth full-length and first new record since 2012's Effigies Of Evil. The band will be entering Skyhammer Studio in the UK to record with Chris Fielding (Electric Wizard, Moss, Napalm Death, The Wounded Kings) while Brad Boatright (Yob, Vallenfyre, Beastmilk, Sleep) will be mastering the album at Audiosiege in the U.S. You can expect the album to drop in the latter half of 2015 via Relapse Records. Get ready!

Sabaton - 'Heroes' Deluxe Edition Details Unveiled

Swedish metallers Sabaton released their seventh full-length record Heroes on May 16th last year via Nuclear Blast and reached some of the highest chart entries in the band's history. Heroes also won in the Best Power Metal Album category on Metal Storm Awards 2014. Now they announce the U.S. release of the album's Deluxe Edition, a 3-disc limited edition deluxe version, due out on April 7th.

Mastodon - Unveil Track From Game Of Thrones Mixtape

Now this could be something epic. Mastodon have contributed with a new track to the upcoming Game Of Thrones "Catch The Throne Vol. 2" mixtape. The track is called "White Walker" and like all of the tracks on the mixtape, it samples music from last season of the HBO show. Satisfy your curiosity and listen to the track over here. Jack Starr's Burning Starr, the American power metal act founded in 1984 by ex-Virgin Steele guitarist Jack Starr, has commenced the pre-production process for their new studio album, titled Stand Your Ground, and scheduled for recording during spring and summer of 2015. Some of the new song titles are: "Stronger Than Steel", "In Another Time (From Ashes We Rise)", "Stand Your Ground" or "To The Ends Of The Earth". Stand Your Ground is a loosely based concept album, about the problems facing America and the world, and the belief that many people have, that we are heading into an era of strife and conflict.

Pyrrhon - Dropped From Relapse, Releasing New EP

Death metallers Pyrrhon have suffered a tough blow. The Americans have been dropped from Relapse Records. The label terminated their contract with Pyrrhon and will not be working on their next LP. The given reason for their decision was that their 2014 album The Mother Of Virtues has not proven commercially successful. Despite the split, the band perseveres and has good news. Slipknot - Guitarist Mick Thomson Allegedly Stabbed In The Head

Des Moines, Iowa television station KCCI is reporting that Mickeal Gordon Thomson, Slipknot's guitarist, has reportedly suffered a stab wound to the back of his head in an altercation with his brother, Andrew Thomson. According to reports, the knife fight started inside Mickeal's home in Clive, Iowa and spilled into the front yard.
