Ophis - Finish Recording New Album

German death/doom masters Ophis released a statement confirming that they have finished the recordings of their 3rd full-length album, entitled Abhorrence In Opulence. More details (release date, cover artwork, tracklist) of the follow-up to the acclaimed Withered Shades album, will be unveiled in the near future.

King Diamond - US Festival Appearance At Fun Fun Fun Fest

Heavy metal legends King Diamond have confirmed an appearance at this year's Fun Fun Fun Fest taking place in November in Austin, Texas. This is the band's first scheduled North American appearance since 2005 and will include their full European festival production stage set up. The Fun Fun Fun Fest line-up also includes Judas Priest, Amon Amarth, Deafheaven, Pallbearer, Sick Of It All, Chelsea Wolfe, Iron Reagan, among many others.

Orphaned Land - Announce 'Mabool' 10th Anniversary Tour

Progressive folk metallers Orphaned Land, now without guitarist and one of the band's founding members Yossi "Sassi" Saharon, will celebrate the 10th anniversary of their masterpiece Mabool this year. Released in 2004, Mabool is a fan favourite and will also be re-released as a remastered 10th anniversary limited edition including a 5-track, 27 minute acoustic live show as bonus CD. This limited edition will be available all across Europe in August. As for the dates of the tour, check them out below.

Moi Dix Mois - Guitarist K Passes Away Suddenly

Very sad news arrive from Japanese group Moi Dix Mois. The band announced on their website that guitarist/vocalist K has died suddenly. They have therefore cancelled their upcoming concert on May 24th at duo MUSIC EXCHANGE in Shibuya. Right now there's no detailed information on his death. So far, all that is known is that K's family has informed the band members about his death and he was found dead at home. The band's guitarist and leader Mana commented on his blog: "This is so sudden and shocking, I can't find words for it."

Yob - Unveil New Album Teaser And Title

Devourment - Line-Up Changes, New Tour Dates

Brutal death metallers Devourment have announced a major lineup change. After nearly 10 and 20 years, respectively, Eric Park and Mike Majewski have decided to leave the group to pursue other things. The band's co-founder Brad Fincher has reclaimed the drum throne, and frontman Ruben Rosas has come back, sans guitar, to once again provide guttural filth on the mic. Also, bassist Chris Andrews has taken over the role of guitarist.
