Saxon - European Tour Confirmed

Warriors Of The Road World Tour! That's right, British heavy metal veterans Saxon have announced a first part of their massive world tour, to begin in the end of October, 2014 in Athens, Greece. Supporting Saxon on several dates will be Americans Skid Row, while other support groups will be confirmed additionally. The list of tour dates can be seen under the flyer.

Firefest - Ends With Stabbings, Shots Fired And Arrests

Things did not go well on the Firefest 2014, a two-day hardcore and metal festival, in Lakewood, Ohio. Four people were stabbed and 23 people were arrested in connection with a fight that took place on the second night (April 19th) outside The Foundry concert hall where the fest was being held, according to reports. Ringworm were supposed to play but they announced on their Facebook page that the show was cancelled.

Just three months after releasing its latest album, Interval 02: Parallel Infinities - The Abscinded Universe, progressive death metal project Lascaille's Shroud is announcing a new release, named Lascaille's Shroud Presents Curaga. This, however, won't be a conventional release. The music will be focused on the aggressive side of power metal, and the album's theme will be that of video games: "Final Fantasy 7", "Final Fantasy 9", "Metal Gear Solid", "The Witcher", "Bioshock" and "Beyond: Two Souls".

Bölzer - Streaming New Song

The SLoT - Singer Stabbed, In Serious Condition

Horrifying news from Russian band The SLoT today. Before a signing session in St. Petersburg, an armed assailant approached the band. After striking up a conversation to get their attention, the man stabbed singer Daria "Nookie" Stavrovich in the neck multiple times before being subdued. The band's other vocalist, Igor "Cache" Lobanov, helped to ward off the attacker and then administered first aid to Nookie until she was taken to the hospital.
