Amberian Dawn - Sign To Napalm Records, New Album Tracklist

Finnish female fronted metallers Amberian Dawn are pleased to announce that they've signed a worldwide record deal with Austrian label Napalm Records, which will release the band's upcoming new album Magic Forest this coming June. Epica - Releasing New Single

The first single from the upcoming Epica album The Quantum Enigma is called The Essence Of Silence and it is being released today as a digital download from iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Deezer and other platforms. Mayhem - Announce European Shows

After showing us their new single "Psywar", still available here, Norwegian black metal instigators Mayhem have announced a string of European shows for May. Led Zeppelin - Announce Reissue Campaign, Start With First 3 Albums

After releasing Celebration Day in 2012, legends Led Zeppelin have now announced an extensive re-issue campaign of their albums. With the June 3rd release of deluxe editions of Led Zeppelin, Led Zeppelin II, and Led Zeppelin III, the band launches a reissue program of all nine of its studio albums in chronological order, each remastered by guitarist and producer Jimmy Page. Led Zeppelin will also open its vaults to share dozens of unheard studio and live recordings, with each album featuring a second disc of companion audio, entirely formed from unreleased music related to that album.

Gorguts - Part Ways With Drummer

Canadian metallers Gorguts have parted ways with drummer John Longstreth, also in Origin. The decision was announced by John himself and confirmed by Luc Lemay. John Longstreth will not be joining Gorguts on the upcoming tours and will instead be focusing on the new Origin record. According to Longstreth, Patrice Hamelin will be behind the kit with Gorguts this year.

Holocausto Canibal - New EP Tracklist Unveiled

Portuguese cult grinders Holocausto Canibal have revealed the full tracklist for their upcoming opus Larvas, to be released through Bizarre Leprous Production this semester. Larvas, which includes four new songs, will also include six live tracks recorded at the Obscene Extreme Festival last year, and three remixes of songs taken from their previous album Gorefilia.

Wolvhammer - Enter The Studio

Blackened sludge metallers Wolvhammer have entered the studio to record their new album, also their third to date. The Obsidian Plains' follow-up should be released this summer on Profound Lore Records and more will be unveiled in the coming weeks. In the Hideaway Studio in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Wolvhammer is currently tracking with Dan Jensen at the soundboard, with eight new tracks penned for the yet unnamed release.

South By Southwest - Car Crash Kills Two People, Several Injured

Terrible news arrive from the US. At least two people have died, and 23 are injured, after a car ran through the intersection of 9th Street and Red River Street during the annual South By Southwest (SXSW), in Austin, Texas. The driver attempting to escape the police broke through a barrier and drove into a crowd of people. The accident happened near the Mohawk venue following ??? (Crosses) show. South By Southwest offers musical performances (including metal bands), conferences, films, showcases, among other things. For instance, Kylesa performed there on March 11th and The Atlas Moth is scheduled to perform tonight at a different venue.

Vallenfyre - Unveil New Album Cover Art And Trailer

It is finally here, the album cover that will grace Vallenfyre's second album Splinters as well as the first teaser for it. See below the cover artwork which was created by Brian D'Agosta, who previously drew a logo for Vallenfyre bassist Scoot's other band, Extinction Of Mankind, as well as artwork for many other bands. For a first preview of Splinters, a video trailer featuring part of the album's opening track, "Scabs", is available here as well.

Theocracy - Drummer Leaves The Band

Georgia-based prog power metal band Theocracy regrets to announce the departure of longtime drummer Shawn Benson, who will pursue other interests. Continued work conflicts and scheduling issues simply made it impossible to move forward, so both parties amicably agreed that it was time for a change to be made. There are no hard feelings on either side, and the band wishes Shawn nothing but the best in the future.

Decapitated - Introduce New Drummer, New Album In September

Recently, Decapitated announced they were working on a new album soon to be recorded. Well, on March 10th, the Polish tech death masters hit Hertz Studio, located at Białystok in their native Poland, to record their sixth record. The yet untitled opus has been confirmed for a release in September via Nuclear Blast. The band also chose this moment to announce drummer Michal Lysejko as a full-time member of Decapitated. Michal has already joined them in time for their tour with Lamb Of God in January.

Dutch Doom Days XIII - First Bands Announced

Dutch Doom Days, a doom metal festival which takes place in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, has announced its first bands for the next edition. Those are Excruciation, a death/doom act from Switzerland, and Hungarian doom/sludge group Magma Rise. Later today, The Wounded Kings were also confirmed. Many more bands will be announced for the fest that will happen from October 31st to November 1st, 2014.
