Draconian's vocalist Anders Jacobsson has posted an important update on his Facebook page today. The new album from the gothic doom band is now mixed! While A Rose For The Apocalypse was already released back in 2011, the band has a new singer, Heike Langhans, and the album recordings are finally completed. Also, Daniel Änghede of Crippled Black Phoenix did some guest vocals for this upcoming album. Now you just have to wait for the final product to arrive. More details will probably be revealed soon.
In 2013, Metallicaplayed a unique show in Antarctica and also set a world record by becoming the first and only band in history to perform concerts on all seven continents in under a year. Now it's TesseracT time to enter the books as the first band to perform on top of a structure made completely out of ice. The gig was part of Jagermeister's Ice Cold series of gigs and took place at Snow Village in Kittila, Lapland in Finland. Check out the chilling footage from the gig on an igloo below.
Italians Rhapsody Of Fire have entered the studio to begin recording their next album which is expected to be out in early 2016. The symphonic power metallers released Dark Wings Of Steel almost two years ago and have been working on new material for their next offering. While there is still a long wait ahead, below you can watch drummer Alex Holzwarth at work recording drum parts at the Echoes Studios in Trieste for the new Rhapsody Of Fire studio album.
Persefone have a new drummer! They have welcomed Sergi "Bobby" Verdeguer to the band and he will take care of drums replacing Marc Mas Marti who left last year. He is the drummer of progressive band Nami, also from Andorra, and he has been a great friend of the band for years.
Recently, Behemoth's guitarist/vocalist Adam "Nergal" Darski revealed that he was working on a solo project which he described as "very stripped down and simple. The most primitive, acoustic-based stuff." The frontman has now shared some clips on his Instagram page of music he appears to be working on. Extreme metallers Schammasch have good news for their fans. The band, which released the acclaimed Contradiction album in 2014 that eventually made it to Metal Storm Awards 2014, is now going to reissue a remastered version of their first opus Sic Luceat Lux. The remastering will be done by V. Santura (Dark Fortress, Triptykon) who also produced Contradiction. Everyone will know who did the artwork by the look of it and yes, it is Metastazis (who also did Contradiction's artwork). You can hear the remastered version of "Black But Shining" below now.
Death metallers Dark Sermon's touring van has been stolen right before they are about to embark on tours with Sworn Enemy and Wretched and later with Aborted and Archspire. Despite the setback, the Tampa group isn't dropping from their upcoming tours and promises to find a way to make it. The van was stolen in Clearwater, Florida but at least the band's equipment wasn't in the van at the time.
In the last few weeks, rumors have been circulating around that Lamb Of God's Chris Adler is laying drums for the next Megadeth album. Chris Adler was photographed with Dave Mustaine eating tacos in Tennessee where the band is recording the new album. Megadeth have recently started dropping hints about the drummer and some fans have identified Chris Adler on the clips that you can see below. The band has now shared a picture of Chris Adler with a Megadeth t-shirt on their Facebook page. It's now official. Adler will be appearing as a guest on the album and contributing.

Feared have finally revealed all about their new album. After two albums in 2013, guitarist Ola Englund and company are now unleashing Synder ("Sins") on the 25th of May. The Los Angeles metal machine, Resistance, have a new six-song EP on the way titled Volume 1 Battle Scars and have released a video for the title track "Battle Scars" which you can now watch right here. The EP was recorded at Skull Seven Studios in Los Angeles with famed producer Bill Metoyer at the helm and is set for an official release on April 14th 2015 through the band's own label, Metal Machine Records.
Norwegian proggers Magic Pie have announced that the band's new album King For A Day shall be released on the 25th of May on Karisma Records. The album was mixed and mastered by Rich Mouser (Spock's Beard, Transatlantic, Neal Morse, Dream Theater etc.) at The Mouse House Studios in Los Angeles, and contains six tracks, including one 27-minute track. Japanese heavy metallers Mardelas have released a video for the song "Eclipse", the opening track from their upcoming debut album Mardelas I. Originally the solo project of ex-Destrose frontwoman Marina Hebishii, Mardelas was expanded to a four-piece with the additions of guitarist Kikyo Oikawa (Screaming Symphony) and Light Bringer's rhythm section.
